I've not used any profanity on this thread, moron.

This must be Mary. Sheesh, get off your high horse and stop your hatred already, Stalker.

You intentionally reply directly to me with your Eucharist garbage because you know it irritates and offends me. Hence, you're intentionally trying to be a stumbling block for me on my path. Your actions prove you are in the service of the Adversary.
 Quoting: Sir Phydeau

I don't hate, you're the one using the word, is it sympathy,
using harsh words or what?

Shame on you "baby Christian" for calling Our Lord's presence in the Eucharist "garbage."

I didn't reply to you about the Eucharist. I replied to
someone else when the spoke of the Lamb of God as the Passover Lamb.

Get it right...

This is a discussion forum. I was here first, you replied
after me and I commented on one of your posts. That's
the general method.

I like the discussion of faith, we are in the end times.

You go start your own thread or keep replying here. What
are you doing here, the OP is not Messianic, it's quite
the opposite.

Seeee....tee heee.

you get FAR too much enjoyment out of your trolling.

I am speaking the truth of the faith, there is only one and

Don't come to a New Covenant discussion and troll with
your Protestant fake Judaism. It's ridiculous.

Nor are we to follow the NT as if it were the replacement for the OT....

IF you try and gain your own righteousness from either one, you fall under the chastisement of Paul, who was critical of NT Christians especially Jewish believers for making the same attempt, as they did for the OT.

Re: Christians: We are not under the law of the Old Testament....................
It would be an insult to YHWH to sacrifice an animal for sin offerings. Basically you would be saying, sending your only begotten son wasn't good enough for me...so I'll keep killing the animals.

Again...the animal sacrifice and plant sacrifice are burnt offerings to YHWH. This isn't picking and choosing what to follow...this is fact. They are apart of the sacrifices replaced by Yeshua.

On top of that the animal sacrifices were a foreshadow of YHWH sending His only son to be sacrificed for us. This is
why they had to be unblemished.

He was the lamb sacrificed on Passover, get it?
 Quoting: Xerces

If Christians aren't supposed to sacrifice animals, why would you write this? "The only animal sacrifices still in effect are for the feasts such as Passover in Nisan." If Jesus is the Passover lamb, why would you want to sacrifice a lamb on Passover? Is it because His Only Begotten Son wasn't good enough?

You are still saying that the Mosaic Law has changed, when Jesus clearly said that He would not make any changes to it. If you want to obey the Mosaic Law, you have to obey all of it, with no changes.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. -- Matthew 5:18

Christians are not supposed to be under Mosaic Law, just like God told all the apostles in Acts 15.

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: -- Acts 15:24

Please stop saying that Jesus changed the Mosaic Law, He did not.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15345578

Saul already cursed Mosaic Law. I could care less what he has to say about the law.

Regarding Passover...
Exodus
12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to YHWH throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

It is a reminder of Yeshua's sacrifice that YHWH made for us. We are commanded to obey it forever. It is not the same as a burnt or sin offering. The Passover lamb is the only representation of Yeshua for the feasts.

Luke 22:16
For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of YHWH.

"I will not any more eat thereof"...meaning I won't be eating it but expecting us to do so until the marriage supper of the lamb.

Revelations 19:9
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The burnt offering was not an offering for a specific sin, but was associated with other offerings, and with various occasions, from mourning and repentance, to celebration and joy.

Leviticus
1:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto YHWH, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

1:3 If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before YHWH.

All of the blood sacrifices are related to sin, but the Sin Offering of Leviticus 4 is an offering for a specific, defined sin. It is not an offering for sin in general, or for a general state of sinfulness

Leviticus
4:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

5:6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of YHWH, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Re: Christians: We are not under the law of the Old Testament....................
There seems to be some confusion about whether or not the OT is to be followed. A testament is a will or a covenant. We still use the word today when we speak of a person's "last will and testament." These names indicate that the Bible is composed of two wills of God an old will and a new will.

Excuse me. Holy Law is MERELY COMMON LAWS AGAINST DOING HARM. IF YOU WANT TO EXCUSE YOURSELF from common laws against doing harm, you are placing yourself against the Will of God Almighty, which is to do good and not harm.

Jesus says, Matthew chapter five, that there is no excuse.

Not only must our behavior be harmless, but our intentions must also be harmless.

Romans 15:4 tells us that the OT was written for our learning to bring us patience, comfort, and hope. It contains examples for us, so that we will not be caught unaware and make the same mistakes that the Israelites made I Corinthians 10:1-12. In Galatians 3:24-25 we find that the Old Law is our teacher to bring us to Christ. Now that Christ has come we are no longer under its dominion. We see that we can learn from the examples found in the OT but when we must determine what God would have us to do today, we must turn to his current will the NT.

Try to understand...Christians revere the Old Testament.

Catechism of the Catholic Church

122 Indeed, "the economy of the Old Testament was deliberately so oriented that it should prepare for and declare in prophecy the coming of Christ, redeemer of all men."93 "Even though they contain matters imperfect and provisional,"94 the books of the Old Testament bear witness to the whole divine pedagogy of God's saving love: these writings "are a storehouse of sublime teaching on God and of sound wisdom on human life, as well as a wonderful treasury of prayers; in them, too, the mystery of our salvation is present in a hidden way."

 Quoting: Xerces

I posted nothing from Saul, so your objection seems futile. The Holy Spirit and all the apostles were at the meeting in Acts 15, and all agreed that Christians are not supposed to live under the Law of Moses. Christians accept that what the bible says about this is God's Will for the new covenant.

Your theory contains contradictions. You quote Jesus saying that He would not change the Mosaic Law at all (see Matthew 5:18), and then you write that Jesus changed various parts of the Mosaic Law. You need to resolve the contradictions in your theory.

Under the new covenant law, Jesus Christ is the Perfect High Priest forever. Jesus is not a Levite, so clearly He is not High Priest according to the Law of Moses. Since Jesus said that He would not make any changes to the Law of Moses, the only way Jesus can be High Priest is if the new covenant has a new set of laws.

Jesus did not change the laws about priesthood in the Law of Moses, and neither did He change any other laws in the Law of Moses. Jesus is the High Priest of the new covenant, and the new covenant law is not the same as the old covenant law.

11 It was on the basis of the levitical priesthood that the Law was given to the people of Israel. Now, if the work of the levitical priests had been perfect, there would have been no need for a different kind of priest to appear, one who is in the priestly order of Melchizedek, not of Aaron. 12 For when the priesthood is changed, there also has to be a change in the law. 13 And our Lord, of whom these things are said, belonged to a different tribe, and no member of his tribe ever served as a priest. 14 It is well known that he was born a member of the tribe of Judah; and Moses did not mention this tribe when he spoke of priests.

And then what?

With the help of God's grace, you must still choose to follow
Him.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14488282

Of course 282. We must do our best to please the Lord.....although as a human.....I stumble quite often.

It is a legal concept which I spoke of earlier. Once you have complete faith in Christ....and have turn yourself over to Him......you are instantly justified.....declared just....declared "not guilty".....based on what Christ has done. (justification)

You are clothed in the righteousness of Christ.....and seen as white by the Father. It is a gift from God.....God's grace.....unmerited favor bestowed upon you.

Sanctification then takes place as you grow in the Lord. God helps you to become more mature... as any good Father would. Sometimes there is chastisement....but it is for our own good. Sanctification is the process of becoming more Christ like over time.....with God's help.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13424880

What a crock. Your OSAS preaching is an absolute lie.

GRACE is unmerited not our justification.

What Christ has done on the cross is...He redeemed mankind.

Protestants always confuse the two. Our redmdemption is not
our JUSTIFICATION.

Why does Our Lord say you must persevere to the end if
the "altar call" saves you? It doesn't.

Idiots preaching all you need is faith and you are saved,
they are all false prophets.

Shame on them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14488282

Paul to new believers (using the past tense):

"Therefore having been justified by faith....... (Rm 5:1)

"....but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit...." (Rm 6: 11)

Also:

"Abraham believed God......and it was accounted to him as righteousness."
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13424880

Sorry....

You don't even post the entire verse, you can make any
verse in Scripture say what you want. Ignore the others
that contradict and isolate a verse to take it out of
context.

You must look at the verses surrounding it.

A "slam" with a compliment, you're still the same. Pride,
plain as anyone can see. It's childish, you're stuck in
"comparative advantage."

You were given the gift of the faith. Take my advise, go to
a Catholic Church or a Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.

Sit or better, kneel in front of the Tabernacle or Monstrance.

Jesus' "grace" will help you, He'll touch your heart. hf

It was not a slam, ma'am. I was reading your postings and couldn't help but notice that you're using almost perfect grammar.

Remember, I used to "slam" you for that. Now I'm making up for it by complimenting your improvements.

Shessh. Your bias is showing. It was an honest compliment and meant as encouragement in your growth. Yet you only see anger because of my past behavior.

Is "forgiveness" and "turn the other cheek" in your personal doctrine at all?

EDIT: Your baiting me with forcing your Church on me won't work, love. I'm FAR ahead of where I used to be.

ANOTHER EDIT: "Eucharist Adoration Chapel" ... that's hilarious! :D

If we are supposed to follow the OT why even have a NT think about ut.
 Quoting: KlLLUMINATI

But there was never a new testament everything Jesus talk about was the old and everything the prophets mention was still of the old, no new laws were made cause God never changes, Pagan's preach a perverted Truth... That the law is done away with... and that is not truth, only those of the most high can see the truth his people not Christians or catholic or the so called jewish people

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Isaiah 8

Jesus came to explain further who God is and His New Covenant
made with mankind. The people of the time only knew the Old Covenant except what was prophesied in the Old about the New.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14488282

The New covenant is the old, I don't get where you people get all this nonsense probably from your pagan churches, I even wonder if you actually read the book and know which words have been change and don't mean what you think they mean

And, behold, one came and said unto him(Jesus), Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments(AKA the rules form the old testament)
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15333383

You're are mixing the Old and the New. You're not making
any sense? Why do you want to remain in the Old Covenant?

Things are better, greater in the New. There are so many
verses, the words of Christ. People have shared them here, a few in this thread.

Hebrews 8:8
For finding fault with them, he saith: Behold, the days shall come, saith the Lord: and I will perfect unto the house of Israel, and unto the house of Juda, a new testament:

Jeremiah 31:31-34: "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD.

churchlady
 Quoting: KlLLUMINATI

Wow slow down there Christian

Jeremiah 31:32 “Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:” Meaning this covenant was not to be according to the sacrificial laws (the Levitical Priesthood). Please read Hebrews 7:11-28 & Hebrews 8:1-6.

Jeremiah 31:33 “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Obviously verse 32 is not talking about the doing away with of the Law because this verse would contradict that understanding. The Heavenly Father is establishing his new covenant according to HIS laws that he had already given to the children of Israel. There was no confusion with Jeremiah of what Law the Heavenly Father was speaking of for he said “my law”.

The law is the law the new covenant is the old covenant, when he says put in the Inward parts he means the mind and in your heart, the laws written to Moses on stone will now be place in your mind and heart, for on the stone they did not follow them

I, for one, appreciated the "HEY! CHILL OUT!" call when I needed it.
