Russia has always been an Ally of ours.. The Cold War was a joint effort to strengthen both the US and Russian economies.. Nothing more, nothing less.. It was a farce.

Research a little civil war history. Back in the day Russia probably saved the US Union by dettering other european nations like the French and English from getting involved.

Europe would have loved to see the US un-united, as divided they fall united they stand.

They could be allies again, as the current Russians are descendants of the ones who used to be the US's strongest ally.

Also reason Russia sold Alaska to US and not Canada, was to ensure England did not get it, or other European country.
