Sidereal Astrology
Does any one here use sidereal astrology??? I have found in my own chart that sidereal has been more accurate for me.

I am born April 10th which if I were to follow Western Astrology would put me with my Sun in Aries, Moon in Virgo, and Rising Leo. I have never really identified with the Aries Sign. The descriptions don't fit my personality or charcter at all as I am and have always been extreamly artistic, very sensitive, reserved, quite, shy, creative, calm, extreamly feminine, spiritual and introverted. I am not and never have been very a extroverted as my Sun sign claims. I am not impatient, brash, hot tempered or selfish and find these quialities somewhat a turn off in other people. I am not atheletic or into sports. All of the Aries like traits simply don't apply to me, especially as I have gotten older, the more introverted/creative side of me has really come out more and more.

When I first discovered about the fagan bradley chart I was amazed at how very accurate it was. In this chart I was a Sun Pisces, Moon Leo and Saggitarius rising. Much more accurate and very spot on! Just curious what everyone elses experiences were using the geocentric chart rather then the western? Has it been accurate for you as well? I see it is not all that popular here in the U.S. as most people go by Western Astrology. Now whenever someone asks what sign I am I say Pisces!

Also, I find interesting was my ex husband is a Pisces Sun in Western astrology and he seems way more airy then water sign. He was very emotionally cold and extreamly logical. He never shed any tears and couldnt really handle the least bit of emotion from anyone he was around. He was not creative and definately not senstive like a fish! It obviously didn't work out because I am and have always been very emotional and sensitive.

It's sounds like your husband has alot of Aquarius in his chart. All of those traits are common for Aquarians.

Ophelia, The Sidereal is the current position of your stars, if you stepped outside and looked up

Western Astrology is your Karmic debt and Vedic/Sidereal/Field is your Karmic potential

Hardly any astrologers here, Remember Astrology is used by only 1-3 percent of the population

No problem, a lot of people haven't! On astro.com they actually recommend you don't use it haha. But it puts astrology in a different perspective, I know it did for me anyway! Now I am a believer when before I really wasn't.

The most powerful astrologer will use both 50/50, Its how you will become a whole person

Western position is right brain, works on right brain
Sidereal vedic works on the left brain

Both will harmonize together.

Interesting, I have always liked Alice and Chains and Kurt Cobain, as I find their lyrics very deep and emotional, especially Kurt Cobains. Thank you. I can relate :-)

I wouldn't mind being a bit more extroverted like Leo in this life as being an introvert has hindered me and I have had many missed opportunites because of it.

I haven't heard of this before. I would like to know more about the differences. How does the Western relate to right brain and vice versa? I am intrigued now! Do you do charts Apollo???

Re: Sidereal Astrology
There are two sides to Aries one of which is be er talked about. Everything you and everybody else believes to be Aries then think of the opposite and you also have Aries. You have to take into account the house Aries is in also the numerology and alphabet associated with it.

Aries is the father of all houses alpha and omega. As much action Aries takes, there is just as much thought. Impulsiveness is not true the measure instead Aries is a fringe thinker and when they get an idea they need to do something with it before it passes, which happens often due to the infinity for new and creative things.

Its too bad we aren't friends because im sure i could point out to you aspects of Aries that are very much you. Sometimes it just takes some standing on the head.

Re: Sidereal Astrology
The use of the sidereal zodiac, which accounts for precession of the stars as espoused by Cyril Fagan and Donald Bradley, results in rotating the planets about 24 degrees clockwise in the horoscope chart or eight-tenths of a sign backwards when compared to the use of the tropical zodiac. For example, OP your Sun is in Aries for your April 10th birthday. If you go to your natal chart and rotate your Sun sign 24 degrees clockwise, it will probably end up in Pisces, which you identify with more readily. My conjecture is that you’re an old soul and longing for the attributes of your soul, which are more suited to the Piscean. See the first part of the following channeling from a sixth density social memory complex that I believe.

Sideral versus Tropical Zodiac discussion: [link to www.llresearch.org]

More specifically, “Gazing at the differences between a sidereal and a tropical chart will give to an entity an interesting view of the various aspects of his own character. The sidereal aspects describe more the soul aspects of the entity, whereas the tropical chart describes more the personality or applied incarnational aspects of a personality.

Looking at the difference between the two gives to the student of his own personality an idea of the dynamics of the earthly self with respect to that self which entered incarnation and that self which shall remain after incarnation.”

Re: Sidereal Astrology
Sidereal Zodiac Origins

Usage of the Sidereal zodiac is from an era when practitioners had an inadequate understanding of the realities of our planet and solar system. It was already developed (in a very rough form) before the origins of horoscopic astrology.

The origins of the actual precise astrological horoscope (horoscopic astrology), which includes the Ascendant or Rising sign, etc. is traced back to Hellenistic Egypt (about 330 BC - 30 BC). Prior to this time (when the Hindus adopted horoscopic astrology), our findings show that Hindu astrology was essentially an ambiguous spiritual philosophy, without distinct means for explicit delineation and prediction.

The Hindus borrowing the functional horoscope, which includes the Ascendant/Rising sign, from other cultures is certainly acceptable, but using the Sidereal zodiac in conjunction with it results in some technical concerns, as outlined below.

The Sidereal Zodiac system is based on fixed stars, hence the problem. We attach importance to the fixed stars, but we don’t like how the Sidereal system links the degrees of the Ecliptic to them.
