..it's a very subtle and insidious psychological program...I was raised a mormon and it literally took years to get out from under the indoctrination where I was no longer afraid to question...so yes I think religious people are idiots - currently costing me my wife and kids as she insists on glomming onto the catholic doctrine - but I also have compassion for them because it does indeed suck to be so afraid and so uncertain and it was those in positions of trust and responsibility who put this upon them when they were too young to think for themselves - then the rest of the mind and identity is formed around this imposed core of belief...it's really sad...hope for liberation of our brothers and sisters...

I clearly remember asking "god", at the age of 17, "who are you to tell me I must worship you; who do you think you are to say you are better than I am?" I was immediately overcome with FEAR and promised I would never, ever question his authority again and to please not send me to "hell." I waited another 30 years before I dared to question again!! 30 lost years!! Now I am free of the shackles known as religion and there is no better feeling. Free from the FEAR!! IMO, forcing children to attend Sunday School is an insidious form of CHILD ABUSE!! A child's mind CANNOT rationalize until they are a minimum of 15 years of age because, before that age their fontal lobes are not yet mature. "Suffer little children to come unto me" - It's much easier to brainwash a child's mind than it is an adult's.
