Basically it is so we are physically attracted to our own race. We are not supposed to think any race superior, or not get along but it's a very basic way that nature tries to up the odds of survival of the species. Every race has genetic differences and if some disease appears that one race is particularly prone to catching or passing along then other races will survive. If we all mixed up our gene pools we would become weaker as a species.
