A question for you what are humans doing to the earth that it doesn't do to itself? - MAAAANY THINGS - BUT FOR MOST OF THE 'BIG-BAD' THINGS NON-HUMANS ARE THE RESPONSIBLE..

Oil leaks= check, it leaks oil on its own that's exactly how they found Spindle Top in Texas.
Air pollution=Check, Gee let's see lightening caused fires, Volcanoes, methane and CO2 in abundance from both the oceans and tundra.
Water pollution=see above. - and YOU THINK, PLEASE !!! THAT WE ADDDDDDD TO ALL THIS - ITS NOT EARTH WHO IS ENDANGERRED - YOU'VE GOT IT WRONG - ITS SUCH PEOPLE LIKE YOU : )

Just remember OP everything we make or use comes from this planet including us and it all will be reabsorbed when we're done. - NOPE, I DONT ORIGINATE/COME FROM ''HERE'' - EARTH

So the real problem is it doesn't fit the idea of what YOU think should happen and how it impacts YOU not the planet. - BOTH ARE CONNECTED - AND WITH THE SUN - TOO BAD YOU CANNOT SEE IT BEACAUSE OF TOO MUCH TECHNOLOGY & PROPAGANDA AROUND YOU .. ;/
