Probably the most well-known atheist of our time is Lee Strobel.
 Quoting: Miggy

Who says that? Lee Strobel?
Never heard of the guy before this year.

And again, argument from authority.
I don't care what people claim.
I only care what evidence they present.

 Quoting: Halcyon Dayz, FCD

You didn't even read the link, did you? In one page it told you what pain-staking lengths the guy went to in order to prove there IS NO GOD!

He wanted to be known as the one guy to finally settle this matter once and for all.

In the end, he was not only convinced that there IS a God but became one of His strongest believers.
 Quoting: Miggy

Did he actually come right out and say "God is a "HE???" I'll bet he didn't!!

i haven't read the thread, but, i usually ask an atheist this question: "what if you're wrong?"

then they ask me the same thing back.

and, i say, "well, if I'm wrong, i have lived a virtuous life of faith, persevering toward good, practicing healthy character traits and then died satisfied and happy and became compost. I have lost nothing.

If you are wrong, you may or may not have lived a virtuous life, because life is complete absurdity and it doesn't really matter anyway. You may or may not have practiced healthy character traits for no other reason than to better yourself, but it doesn't matter anyway, because after you die you believe its to the worms anyway!

you may or may not have died satisfied and happy, but then you meet God face-to-face and realize that you wasted your entire physical life without a relationship with the Most High God and all of important life lessons you needed in the next life (which you will need to learn before you can advance onward to heaven - could take aeons, and includes intense weeping, gnashing of teeth, and total humiliation.

If you remain an atheist at this point, not believing anything that is right in front of your face, then you get to die again. This time, it's forever.

You have lost everything"

I'll tell you exactly what I am. I am sick of these fuckin "labels!!"

I am a part of the Infinite First Consciousness (God if you like); therefore, I am of equal kind and quality. The only possible difference there can be is one of degree.

You seem to be a bit off with your definitions too

Agnostic = a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience. Synonyms: disbeliever, nonbeliever, unbeliever; doubter, skeptic, secularist, empiricist; heathen, heretic, infidel, pagan.

Existentialism = A philosophy that emphasizes the uniqueness and isolation of the individual experience in a hostile or indifferent universe, regards human existence as unexplainable, and stresses freedom of choice and responsibility for the consequences of one's acts.

"Hell" is a concept that exists only in your mind. You create your own reality via your thoughts. And who loves to plant silly ideas in your mind? - The Archons!!

Mind Control Methods:

1 – Thought control – by implementing ideas, beliefs, thoughts and emotions.

2 – Spiritual Experiences – from meeting “angels”, “demons”, “guides” to “masters” and “advanced beings.”

3 – Religion – One of their most popular methods.

4 – Technology – Mostly based on “wavelength” technology – Vibrations. Sound and Radio waves are most common – too high or too low to be heard but still very effective for mind control. Light, sound, frequencies, vibrations are all very powerful tools to be used and abused to manipulate the mind.

Exactly as I suspected. Not EVER did this former atheist consider God a "HE!!!"

Excerpt: “I’m thinking of a God very different from the God of the Christian and far and away from the God of Islam, because both are depicted as omnipotent Oriental despots, cosmic Saddam Husseins,” he said.

That is EXACTLY what so many of us whom you people insist on calling atheists, have been trying to tell you. The Christian, Islamic and Hebrew god is nothing more than a jealous, psychopathic, evil type bully. That god cannot possibly be the Infinite First consciousness/Unconditional Love/Source of all Creation.

I don't think I've ever read a more vile description of God in my entire life.

I couldn't care less if God is a He, a She, or an "IT".

God has the same feelings we do and I can't help but think you just hurt him/her tremendously with those words.

They were truly despicable.

You're right. I know nothing of you so what is there to judge- even IF it were my place to do so?

It isn't. And Christians are told that should we take on that attitude towards our fellow man we'd better expect severe consequences from our Creator.

I DO believe we still have the right in this country to judge a statement, however. And no matter who you described (as you did) was just awful.

I have no idea why you are so bitter and angry.

I sincerely hope you find a healthy way to deal with it.

Holding such hostilities inside are more dangerous than cancer, IMO.

I haven't had such a terrific past either, friend. But for the grace of God I wouldn't even be alive typing this.

Real quick:

The Reason God is "Male" is the same reason that the Outie Diode on batteries is called "male"

Positive charge is "Male" and Negative is Female

Male projects out, Woman intakes.

Male is spiritual Female is material.

The actual Gender of your preferred archon/Annunaki overlord(ess)/other lesser Diety is subjective.

Most High, Positive Principal, is thought of as Male for said reasons.

So sue me!

I simply believe in the statement that God made man in His own image.

Does that mean I think God's a man? NO.

A woman? No.

Energy/Love, etc. Possibly.

I don't care if God looks like Godzilla.

But when it speaks about "image" I believe it is referencing feelings.

That's just my opinion.

You have yours.

What is this whole big deal on gender, anyway?!

It's just easier and certainly a little more respectful to call my Creator a "He" than an "it".

Obviously this was decided by a "male" right?

Male is spiritual and female is material? Fuck that noise!! I would sooner believe just the opposite is correct. If you dare to look at Pre-His-Story, you'll find the feminine principle was very much alive. The feminine was deliberately suppressed and replaced with the Patriarch System that has controlled this planet for the past thousands of years. Before Patriarchy there was a "Golden Age."

Did he actually come right out and say "God is a "HE???" I'll bet he didn't!!

Salt, can you hurl one of your trazadones through the screen in hopes this poster will succumb to sleep for the next 12 hours and wake up in a better mood?

Strange how you feel so threatened by my questions. Your expression of "discomfort" tells me a lot.

Seriously, Salt.

Give it another chance.

Put your child in your bed with you tonight if you're worried.

If you have a job PM me and I'll make sure you get a wake up phone call.

But you can't try a medicine for one night and judge your body's reaction to it by that- well, unless you think it's about to make you keel over, dead.

Try it again.

What's your alternative?

No sleep?

Back to Xanax?

Addictive sleep aides?

Seriously, cut it into a quarter tonight if you're still uneasy.

Personally I can't believe it took 45 minutes to kick in.

I think I STILL have laptop keyboard fossils on my face from when I first took it!

Sorry- off topic.

I apologize to Salt who I BELIEVE is a woman but may indeed be a man. Makes absolutely no difference to me!
Be Still and know that I am God.

Why don't you try something that was given to you by our Creator? It's called Cannabis. Works wonders. And, yes, your own silly Buy-Bull says it's o.k. to use it. Read Gen. 1:26-29 - It's all there.

29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

If you look at any government issued ID, you will find the name always spelled in all UPPER CASE LETTERS - e.g. JOHN HENRY DOE

Have you not wondered why your government cannot use proper English grammar when dealing with names? There's a very good reason.
