Mid priced food is the most unhealthy.
The big chains sell the most crap; it is from Nestle, and all the big corporations.
Bio-stores are expensive, but sell some real organic food.

Dollar stores sell some poor quality stuff, but not all.
Small businesses strive to make good quality food, but can't afford to make them qualify as organic. (it is a lot of money, plus the hassles) They are not allowed into the mainstream market, the mid price grocery chains as Safeway, Wons, Ralphs and kins - so they go to the dollar stores to sell their stuff.

, You can get lucky buying good, healthy stuff for a dollar.

Re: Mid priced food is the most unhealthy.
Most food in the store is from General Mills, not nestle. Although Nestle does make baby formula (i dunno either)...

Grow as much produce as you can at home. Thats my suggestion. You aren't getting "food" at the grocery store. You're getting a chemically created edible "thing" that wont kill you right away and will keep you alive... It can't be classified as food because its harming you, not helping you. Most of the "food" should be labelled as "poison" because eventually you're going to get sick from it.

Hence, why the older generation all have various cancers. They ate poison their whole lives.

Sad shit.

You are mostly right, although I am older generation, and in pretty good health. I cant grow everything, but I do cook out of scratch most of the time as opposed to eat out or just "fix" food.

Re: Mid priced food is the most unhealthy.
I started buying storebrand packaged goods (not too much processed stuff, but cereal and such) and organics.

I read the labels and found far fewer ingredients in the storebrands, because most of them are actually natural - not loaded with crap and preservatives like name brands.

And the storebrand organics are cheaper and usually certified by at least one other entity beside the USDA (who i don't trust as far as i could throw em)
