The whole point of masonry is going through the mysteries up the spine which contains the chakras. This whole process is supposed to be contained by a serpent (fasle assumption). There is another meaning about the snake in symbolism.


The snake represents energy..if you look at the currents of electricity..it twists like a snake in it's current.
This also applies with energy.
