I am an hardware / software / firmware engineering recruiter working in San Jose, CA who just stepped out for a break because my head is spinning with the amount of offers I am doing, jobs i am getting ready to post, people I have to set up to start in a week and the managers wanted more resumes yesterday! I have done two interviews today and another to go plus scheduled 2 I don't have time to attend so i stayed off the schedule, and 6 more to set up that are aging. I can't work fast or long enough to keep up.
I am overloaded with hiring work to the point of serious stress.
Not kidding!!!
Quoting: Juliebean I'm a software engineer who has worked in the Silicon Valley for most of the past decade. I agree that there is plenty of work there. The problem is that the jobs you are offering are for the most part contracts with no benefits. I think most folks who live in the Bay Area would agree that $110K plus benefits might buy a lower middle class existence for a small family. Without healthcare coverage, $110K will quickly bankrupt the average family residing in the area. No offense, but I truly believe that headhunters are a serious detriment to our collective well being as society.
