WHAT the FUKushima.
If Fukushima is really as bad as the biggest fear monger says, this is my question for you.

What are YOU going to do about it?

Dwell on your alledged "last" days about how they fucked up?

Continuously follow news stories regarding the issue?

Cry about dying when you're not close to dead yet?

Live the rest of your life to the fullest and ignore the sleeping monster?

I pick the last choice. Why? Because there is nothing I can do. I can't go over there and help clean up. Congress would highly likely not respond to concerned letters. So what's left? Dwelling on it until the day I die? If I did that I'm already dead.

The point is life is short. And if Fukushima really is the end of mankind (which I persnally doubt but keep an open min) Then shouldn't we be spending our last days doing the things we love? Seeing sites we've never seen? Doing something with our lives instead of spreading fear on GLP.

A week ago i noticed a swollen lymph node and a gum boil in my mouth. I temporarily conviced myself it was fuku related... Yesterday i went to the doctor. I had an abscess tooth. I'm on penicillan now and my boil is gone and my lymph node has gone down. The point is there has been so MUCH fukushima fear mongering that I thought it had affected me. Is this a sign that there is a mass panic occurng causing irrational thinking? I think so.

All I know is I'm going to live my life. You should too. Worrying about fukushima (which evidenly is a disaster no one has any clue how to help)Will only make you more and more depressed.

Do what you want and think what you want. But you spend every moment of the day fretting over fuku, then, well, you're already dead...

Agreed OP, where your head is at, is mostly all that matters in this life. Hard to be happy or make moves that advance your life in directions you want it to go, when you're watching so intently the approaching doom(s.) Better to just be happy with what you've got left.

That said though, there are things we can consume to protect ourselves, and even reverse and heal the effects of radiation poisoning. Spirulina has actual research behind it, but I've also heard people purporting that ingesting food grade diatomaceous earth removes heavy metals and radiation from the body as well

You know, when the earthquake and tsumani first happened, I panicked and bought probably 1500 bucks worth of tuna, crab, shrimp, other assorted foods (beans, rice etc) and water, as well as seeds. So, those foods are good until 2014. (I checked every expire by date on everything and vacuumed sealed/barreled the rest)

At this point though, that food will last me and the ones I love maybe 6 months if things go south due to this. So, I have resigned myself to whatever fate has in store at this point. I really don't want to live in a dead world like The Road.

good post.
i dont think the fear mongeres and GLP headline makers realize the consequences of their ill informed judgment.
Stress from the fear mongering is as dangerous as radiation poisoning.

There are ways to protect from the radiation. Not 100%, but limit the radiation. Google it.

THIS is what i have been looking for. SAME THING HERE, west oakland, bay area:

* hair loss on a very noticeable scale: 3 months. good diet, active lifestyle, no caffeine 3 weeks and off cigs 3 days now. lots of herbal tea, etc.

* swollen gum lower right, molar. i did 2 days of GSE and cleared that infection, totally fine now. this was about 3 days ago.

* 3 months ago, boil on back of neck, pus, total ick...others tried to form but went away eventually (after 2 months of see-sawing).

* a couple months of lymph issues. swollen lymph. did a tincture for lymph cleanse but when the jaw got infected, laid off it, as another lymph spot got worse.

* ongoing low grade cold...son is also still dealing with it.

and i NEVER get sick. i have been back in the bay for 6 months. we had fever/headache/sore throat/hair issues in portland during the months after fukushima, which went away as soon as we moved to hawaii.

so riddle me that shit.

oh yeah and i had two lumps on either side of my thyroid gland. went away after a few days. learned a lot about the throat, go google.

btw, looking at global radiation maps, europe is absolutely besotten with nuke plants, rad levels high in areas not anywhere near fuku or jet stream. higher rads on east coast USA than west coast, as well.

and in response to the OP...

being fully aware and informed is a very important part of taking positive action. just saying. not all of us are in it for the doom.
