It's a funny thing about Alex, he's a tool and would take a fistful of dollars from the Devil as a "favor", he's that kind of guy. But in the whole season finale, the Vice Dean is invisible. I think the Vice Dean paid Starburns to disappear as a false flag to destroy the School so the Dean will be blamed and the Vice Dean will step in and happily clean everything up and make everything 'secure' again.
