I just wanted to briefly talk about the quakes off Whakatane again...

There are two distinct areas...one is the dormant volcano Moutohoura Island, otherwise known as Whale Island

....and the other is about 8km away to the north where there is another small group of islands...

This area is right in the line to White and back to the TPV so not inconceivable that this area is about the flare up as well...
