It may not "break the world in two", but it certainly could wreak havoc on our weather patterns. [link to theweek.com] FACT: A supermoon event occurred right before hurricane Katrina formed. Maybe we will see a big one pop off tonight? Or maybe even Mt. Popo will spit at us a bit? The sky is too cloudy for me, wasn't earlier though, lovely pale white and glowing. It stood out nicely and certainly lit the sky and clouds up. But I am sorry, can't really get a good picture anymore. Last Edited by ShabbyOrange on 05/05/2012 08:18 PM |

It's starting to get a bit cloudy here and no sign of the moon just yet. I reall yhope that it stays clear enough for me to get a few good pictures. I'll post them here if I can get any. Looking forward to some pictures from those of you who can get some. "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." John F. Kennedy |

How do you plan to take the pictures? What kind of camera and what kind of area? As in will it have much light pollution, here where I am.. Well.. The light pollution is terrible, any photos I could of taken would of ended up with 40% ambient light from around me I bet. Good luck though, hope the pictures turn out amazing. |

Nothing special, a Canon PowerShot A2000 IS. It does get the job done though. It may be a little cloudy here, only time will tell. I'm looking forward to seeing this baby, and I hope it's huge! He rebels against authority, pokes fun at the overly serious, creates convoluted schemes, that may or may not work, plays with the Laws of the Universe and is sometimes his own worst enemy. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1557341 United States 05/05/2012 11:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm in NY. The "supermoon" is supposed to be at it's peak right now, and i'll tell you what: It's bright, but it's not big at all. It looks like a small marble in the sky like it always does. Not sure what the hoopla is all about. Very disappointed. It looks like any other full moon. Is there somewhere in the world where it's supposed to look big? |
