Quoting: Hermittao Bald cypress looks similar. A Mexican version of bald cypress called Montezuma cypress is a little bit more evergreen and grows faster. I have both in my backyard. I also have Bald-Montezuma cypress hybrids developed by Chinese scientists. We don't even do that here in USA despite the face they are native to North America! Dawn Redwood is native to China!
