Interactive NASA Flood Maps.
[link to flood.firetree.net]

lets you increase the water level and shows you what would happen.

Looks like Id be ok here even with a 60 meter water rise.

Not sure about a big tsunami though.

Re: Interactive NASA Flood Maps.
As interesting as this could be, there's no way that this is at all accurate.

I stuck in 13 meters - that's almost 40 feet..! of a rise in SEA LEVEL. That Japan EQ wouldn't have been nearly that high and look at what happened to that place. The map looks like there's barely a dent into Japan. At 40 feet that whole place would be in Davey Jones' Locker.

I'm safe for about 275 meters by my calculations.

This is nice though, good find OP.

For every inch of sea level rise you lose up to 30 inches of shoreline. This allows for the tidal variations which tends to be increasing. A king tide with a storm surge needs to be factored into the calculations.

I'm good at 60m but a good bit of the city is not.

Re: Interactive NASA Flood Maps.
Upon further inspection, I might need to invest in a small boat, as the highway system would be hosed at 60m+ and since I live between 3 rivers which show a great deal of expansion, I would be cut off from my family, both immediate as well as the in-laws (neither of which live more than 10 miles away.

I would basically be landlocked in the city. Yikes

Well I live right by the ocean, but right up on a high cliff, according to the maps even after a 60m WAVE, my street will still be high and dry, although everyone around us is somewhat soggy!!!!!

I'm in Northern Vermont...right on the Canadian border...about the middle of the State...even at 60m I'd be ok according to this.
