“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan

No, because this is what the moon looks like on that camera, much bigger

[link to www.geonet.org.nz]

And at the time this camera shot was taken the moon was overhead, not down low setting.

It is either Venus or some other planet/star

It is in the western sky because the same camera, catches sunset and the moon setting

It didn't seem any brighter than normal either though. .

It was more gold-ish than usual I thought

But there have been brighter full moon's than lately. Cloud maybe has a lot to do with brightness. There has been at least one full moon in past months that was so bright I remember thinking it was morning/dawn when it woke me

Re: Photo of 'Venus' tonight from New Zealand
I tried once again to get a focused shot of 'the big bright star' aka Venus/Nibiru/whatever but it seems to be spinning/rolling? Is this right? Should it be? I can focus on the moon easily but can't for the life of me get a good pic of this. This is as good as I could get last night & the moon 2 nights ago

Venus?
Venus?

Moon
