In my opinion Israel won't know how good it had it until the Syrian regime is gone.
Quoting: Elephant Elephant - you are on to something, unless Israel decimates Syria and literally destroys Damascus and its other cities so much so that Syria is no more. Any less and Israel will be facing a much more resolved and vicious enemey supplied by Al Quaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. Right now, Syria has not involved it self in conflict with Israel for some time.
