There is order and logic in all creation. This is not random assembly but is a function of an internal unified plan. This could not happen by chance; the probability of nonrandom assembly of nature is 1 chance in quadrillions... it just could not happen. I understand all this. All men struggle with these questions.

We really can't know whether we asked to come here or not. There's a lot we can't understand, but God says we know what we need to.

The New Testament lauds abstinence and warns against bringing children into this evil world. But God gives his creations freedom of choice, and most fail to listen.

Put yourself in God's position. Say you create something with all your heart and soul, and give it freedom of choice. This something chooses to rebel against you and behave in evil ways defiling your creation. You send your only son to plead with them to turn from their evil. Instead of repenting, your creation decides to crucify your son. You tell your creation that if they will but apologize and turn from their evil, you are still willing to forgive them. Your creation tells you to stick it, and continues defiling your creation with pleasure. What would you do?

There is only one God, and it is impossible for humans to even begin to understand it or what it is. That's it.

I grew up in a strict Southern Baptist home with a grandfather who was a preacher and a mother who was a Sunday school teacher.
My nights were filled with readings from the Bible and of course my Sundays were filled with church.
From early on I had many questions that were never answered to my liking and so I started getting dissatisfied with Christianity.
As I got older I began searching for answers through many different religions.
In all I have found truths, and in all I have found lies.
Do I believe in the Christian concept of God? No
Do I believe in a higher power? Yes
I do not know where it originates from or what it can or can't do.
If there is a higher power I believe it may actually be all of the energy in everything around us and including us.
I don't know if I believe in a higher power because it's a human trait to not want to be alone in this world or because some part in me truly believes it.
Regardless I want to believe in a higher power because I want this life to have had purpose I guess and to be able to return to the source after death.

Most people dont beleive in either heaven or hell.

So are they choosing hell by default?

Is god going to torture needlessly and for the sake of being cruel...billions of people that didnt even MAKE a choice?

Isnt a "CHOICE" defined as having THE FACTS in front of you..and KNWOING fully well what EACH fact entails..then making a WELL informed CHOICE??

How can ANYONE do that when it comes to HELL?

From everything I have heard/read, I dont think the human mind is capable of understanding the truth, but maybe I am wrong all I can come up with is that pretty much nature is god but nature I think is just energy in a sense. I remember hearing the only reason we can see anything is because it is always vibrating, so everything in existence is constantly vibrating. The glory of God is the overarching goal of creation. In fact, it is the overarching goal of everything He does.

The universe was created to display God’s glory (Psalm 19:1), and the wrath of God is revealed against those who fail to glorify God (Romans 1:23).

I believe God has many faces and each is intended for a different culture.
Look to the point of origin for a religion and you will find the culture it was meant for.
Different cultures place different values on things for example: The Norse Gods use tools and value craftsmanship, one can still see cultures that put emphasis on craftsmanship in the Germans and Swiss.
The Christian religion puts emphasis on agriculture see the many characters who are farmers and sheep herders.
The Greek pantheon is fascinating in that it emphasizes a diversity of interests from agriculture through music and science to war. The Gods of a people reflect the people or the people of a God reflect that God.

I think i am the exact target audience you are looking for.
I am raised as a christian, baptised roman catholic.

When I was 18 years old, I left the church and had my rebellious atheist phase. I then went through some very interesting initiation experiences through the use of psychoactive drugs.

I read all about metaphysics, out of body experiences, sacred geometry, the ancient high cultures, conspiracies, spirituality, eastern and western mystery schools, new age and all the other fringe stuff i could get my fingers on.

I have been meditating for 10 years now, trying to reconnect with source. In short, i became a Gnostic. I had several samadhi moments.

I don't want to brag about all that stuff, even if it sounds like that.

But this journey convinced me that there is a higher power. I don't know if it is a seperate entity or if it is my higher self that is connected with every person, but i am 100% sure, there is a higher power.

Evidence for this claim can clearly be found in the intelligent, fractal Design in nature, the sacred geometry in plants, humans, animals, planets, galaxies. If you can accept that telepathy and synchronicity exist, you will begin to see that when you are on a certain path, some higher force is steering you in a positive direction, increasing freaquency more and more. Information is magically given to you in the right moment and you are strongly pulled away from the electric society, back to nature.

All these things are strong evidence for me that a prime creator exists and that religion is just a hijacked vehicle, a corrupted enemy of true spirituality.

Religion relies on belief and is indirect, through a priest or someone else outside of you. spirituality is direct. You experience it yourself. That's why religion is BS.

Your question regarding those who believe in a higher power is not what you are really asking! What you are really asking is - is there a higher power and can someone provide convincing evidence of it?

The question is almost pointless as it would be like asking - which is the higher power - fire or water? Both have energy which can be used to create and destroy, neither is positive nor negative - they simply are what they are! Ring a bell? I AM that I AM!

ALL powers in eternity have their purpose! All are Eternal AND eternally changing! As such there is no higher nor lower - ALL simply ARE what they ARE!

Feelings of ONENESS with Creator Source ever since childhood, felt very connected to Creator's conciousness.

back in the nineties I used to go to Church of Christ, I wanted my husband to join me. I have always desired to be connected with with my mate in that way. I went to a Catholic
church because thats what I remember as a child in Europe the magnificance of those old cathedrals and stained glass. I got down on my knees I prayed till all my eyes filled with tears. Asked if there was someway the Holy Spirit can touch him in some way, well that afternoon at 2 pm, he got saved went to church and got baptised. It didn't last long but thats ok.

But the moral to the story is. Its the EXPERIENCE that one haves with Creator Source by being at one. Simply means your prayers will be answered.

There are many many experiences.... like that.

What existed before our universe, pre-big bang, is what I think of as God. That point/force/being/whatever I think chose to become our universe. I think it was just a single decision, to "be" so to speak. Everything after that is just a further expression of that original command "be".

Whether or not that original command can include a demi-god with a huge ego, IDK for sure. I think that Source may retain it's consciousness, but that consciousness wouldn't seem like consciousness to you or I at first. A single strand of thought for that Source is measured in light-year multiples of 10, so it's hard to invite the Source over for dinner of even a conversation.
