It wasn't good, wasn't bad, mediocre. But at least she's not went the LKH route of salaciousness, lol. It was short, I read it quickly even for me... I was one of the speed reader kids.

The author is making a ton of money off a Twilight fan fiction piece she wrote a couple years ago called Master of the Universe.

She had this fan fiction posted for a long while, had other fan fiction fans help her "strengthen" the story, then took it down, changed all the names away from Twilight characters, changed some descriptions that actually described Twilight cast members, changed the title, and got herself published.

If you search really hard (because she had it scrubbed from as many places as possible) you can find the original on line and save yourself the money!!!!

Yeah, I guess a lot of women won't mind shelling out $30 for the 3 (paperbook) books in the series, I'd just like more of them to be informed about it's origin : )

Re: Ladies of GLP: Anyone read "Fifty Shades of Grey" yet???!!!
This is the problem I have with this book series:

The average author of original fiction has to work so fucking hard to get published. We have to write and rewrite manuscripts, get rejected more often than we get positive feedback, submit and wait, submit and wait, and once we finally get that tiny deal we have to hope that those few copies get noticed, picked up, read, recognized. <snipped> how difficult it is to build up a fan base. What this woman did, metaphorically, was walk into a room full of captive Twilight fans, pitch them some reasonably well-written porn, and develop enough of a following that when the story was completed, she could change the names and sell so many copies to people who’d already read it online that it made the fucking bestsellers list.

To answer your original question, OP, I haven't read FSG ot MOTU yet. I'm going to read the Twilight version first then borrow the FSG series from someone I know who bought it. I'm looking forward to seeing if the author punched up the BDSM or other sexual aspects for the books : )

I'm reading this now. It's very confrontational. The porn doesn't bother me as I read erotica anyhow. I'm half way through and enjoying how it's playing out so far.
