Even if NICT was hacked that still doesn't explain why their live feed was shut down for the past 2 months.

NONE of the links I looked at last night were up. I tried the lasco cams on soho, and even went to the military (navy) link. They all show the data for the 3rd, but that's where it stops. It's also very choppy...they've removed some frames.
I was wondering about all of this last night, and went to NICT before they had shut it down. I hadn't paid attention to that date, but it was still up last night.
Then, I went and visited neumayer webcam, facing south from rooftop, and before I could load the entire images, I lost connection. I couldn't stay connected last night at all, and I'm on DSL.
So, I've been wondering what the hell is going on.

why is our government so afraid its people may see something? they spend our money, so just they can see whats coming. Not fair

I have been watching (and learning) since the beginning of the last Solar Maximus cycle ... and early on, because I really was a suntard, I studied the sun for hours each day ... and I recognized when NASA slipped in a "old" picture, from time to time, then I noticed that they "blured" out some parts of the pictures, but what really got me screaming all over the internet and angry, was when, just as something really spectacular was about to happen, they pulled the plug on us and called it a CDC "bakeout" (an automated process that cleans the lenses on the satellite cameras) NOT EVERY TIME! ... I got so loud it warrented someone hacking my computer to bits ... it actually made a grinding sound as it died ... so I backed off and watched ... and listened to hundreds of others with the same complaints, about how they use OUR MONEY, to pay for all their fancy do-dah equiptment and jobs ... but they WITH HOLD DATA from us as - stating pubically and for the offecial record, that in matters that involve National Security, they have the right to NOT TELL US WHAT THE DATA SAYs ... WTF?

they have done the same in every branch of the gov who reports to the public ...USGS, NOAH, WHO, SOHO - the "real-time simulations" are no different - do you really think HAARP info isn't "calebrated" for the public eye? ... the list goes on ... they "adjusted" the RIchter scale and call major Earthquakes "aftershocks" dozens of websites that used to report the data (that they didn't include) have vanished ...

I appreciate those who point out these injustices ... and make their fellow humans aware of how the public is NOT being given the full story - ever ... everything WE see is "edited" ...

yeah, just let your imagination run wild publicly ... forget that an X40+ flare didn't fry anything ... but I did read (in glp) that someone claiming to be a computer tech did replace the same one part, on a lot of computers after each major flare (in the last cycle) ... and he watched the data to know when he would be the busiest ha ha -

so I am not saying CME that hit the earth have no effect - they do - especially on your skin ...and I have learned how to read what little data they share with us to avoid "exposure" - I also bought a Faraday cage

...Granted, CME cause some disruptions in our electronic devices ... but we are getting those disruptions ALL the time now so no one even notices a dropped call or glitches - and no doubt they have upgraded that "weak" part that was being effected by CME a while back

what interests me now, is what effect - passing through the Solar equator (Galactic Alignment) is going to have on us - especially when the sun passes through it ... but I seriously doubt we will ever get any of that data - even if the Scientific Community does ever come out of the collective denial they are all experiencing

NICT is a visual representation of ACE data. ACE is still up and running and that was where NICT got it's data from. NICT just made it easier for non-professionals (I.e morons from GLP) to understand it.
Scientists can interpret ACE data without some pretty pictures. They probs shut it down because it kept breaking and stalling and wasn't transferring ACE data well enough.

Oh come on. Are you saying that video is fake? There are multiple other sources for the imagery. There were several events in October and November 2003 and maybe that's a source of confusuion. The largest CME impact/geo-magnetic storm was on November 20th from a CME on the 18th November.

The super X-ray event earlier in the month did not generate a strongly geo-effective CME simply because it was in the wrong location to do so. And we were fortunate for that,

Alright, I'm expert but we need to have a common definition of 'something major' if we are to hold a productive discussion. What is that to you kind sir? A Carrington-sized event? Could that be defined as something major? Some long-distance telegraph wires that span for thousands of kilometers and act like perfect antennae went down. I have studied that event just a little and there were no reports of people convulsing or dying on the spot.

Besides I've been recently in an MRT of my brain, routine check up and all. That machine produces magnetic fields that could be defined as major. I didn't feel a thing, besides that irritating clicking and buzzing. At last, if all my other arguments fail to reach you I should mention we have and always had (except for some reversals now and then) a magnetic field around Earth.

I wouldn't like to be in an airplane over the poles if something hits, since I'm a little allergic to high-energy radiation. But the earth's magnetic field protects us more the stronger magnetic and radiation shock-wave it meets. I doubt anything but a close-by supernovae blast could puncture that field. But again I'm speaking out only in my behalf with my humblest opinions.

PS! The Soviet Union built our power lines to Cold War / possible EMP standards. I'd like to think they are prepared and have reserves and lamp transformers. Anything running on big lamps is just more resistant to EMPs ;) Besides those lamp clocks and number counters look awesome!
