However, I was personally monitoring the charts while the flare was occuring, and it only reached to M1.9 which is nowhere near as powerful as they make it out to be. This one is literally nothing to worry about. It may look impressive, but again, on the scale of things, its relatively weak as far as flares go. My friends, we are all living in extraordinary interesting times. The events to come will undoubtedly be some of the most important in our history. Embrace the change to come. I love you all! |

I normally wouldn't post anything from a site like this.. heh. but look how freaking amazing that picture is!! i'm tryin to find out.. did that just happen? ie: is that image from this recent storm? Quoting: LuciousGideon anyone know? One of the most powerful solar storms in the last five years was unleashed yesterday after a massive solar flare erupted from the sun. Space weather scientists are closely watching the sun’s activity as the storm could interfere with satellite communication and power grids. Joseph Kunches, from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), said: “Space weather has gotten very interesting over the last 24 hours… When the shock arrives, the expectation is for heightened geomagnetic storm activity and the potential for heightened solar radiation… There is the potential for induced currents in power grids… Power grid operators have all been alerted. It could start to cause some unwanted induced currents.” Read more: [link to www.inquisitr.com] Just a story. Not real... |

Why are so many "official" sites that monitor our sun and it's energy output, missing info, going offline and changing/hiding data? What would be the purpose of that if everything is OK?
