it's heavy grizzly bear country, lots of cougars, wolves and coyotes, bobcats, moose, Elk, wolverines.

i ran into a heard of Elk on the bike ride, but they didn't scare me, and they can be aggressive , if i was on some indica strain i would have been more fearful

there is supposedly a gov/alien base underground where i live, and there was a mkultra training base only 15 miles from here, so there are reasons to be on edge

the Sativa just made it all fun and adventurous. i felt very introspective and curious, peaceful, compassionate towards nature and animals and a sense of love for humanity.....

Here's the deal, usu. the Sativas are more stimulating, but more anxiety inducing possibly, sometimes to almost hallucinogenic. They can have more issues for those with latent schiz tendencies.

Indicas are the sedating strains, couch lock, not as much high, but more buzz.

thing is, most strains these days are just hybridized to shit, so there are NO PURE sats or Indies anymore, unless someone found some frozen seeds, or gets a wildcrafted genetic line from the native area (not likely).

Other thing is, with cannabis breeding, too much focus went on getting that maximum THC or CBD level as possible, well, cannabis has a lot of other elements that help to equal out the effect on the user, and those fell by the wayside. LIke anything, man screwed up what god perfected.

You likely got a wildcrafted sativa, and thus your experience.

Sad to say, you may not be able to get that variety again, and, I wouldn't go looking for better in a sativa, b/c you might need to be careful what you wish for since you mentioned your past anxiety with it...

Just stock up or get some seeds from it. Most of the herb out there now is just glorified uber super mega stone the freak out crap. Huge buzz, yes, good high, NO!

Over and over I hear people claim its the sativas that will make you paranoid and the indicas that will make you chill.

Personally I find the exact opposite to be true. A good happy go lucky sativa is about the only thing I can smoke without getting nasty paranoia and anxiety.

(That and hash. No clue why this would be the case since I hear indicas are usually used to make it.)

The absolute worst for me is a very stoney indica. I can eat 3 or 4 tabs of acid and have no trouble with paranoia but two puffs of a strong indica will make my life a miserable fear-filled hell for the next two hours.

I think everyone is different. If you find you get paranoid when you smoke and wish to find a strain that doesn't do that, I suggest you simply go out and try every strain you can in small quantities until you find one you personally can chill on and stick with it.

Usually you will find a trend in which types of smoke you do well on. For me it seems to be Sativa or Sativa dominant hybrids.

I seriously doubt anyone here has been lucky enough to find it, but "Nevilles Haze" is a mostly sativa strain. Very interesting stuff...I could go on and on for pages about this particular stabilized strain of marijuana (from growing a LONG time, to curing the buds, even some incredible stories of smoking and it's quite unique effects), but I won't.

Yes, sativa is great, I don't like indica... sativa is harder to grow indoors since it matures more slowly and doesn't yield as much depending on the degree of indica/sativa hybridization.

Doesn't yield as much...lol. I had one go so huge when it was done I measured one single branch at 25 1/2 feet long more or less. I had to keep pinching it and turning it around the plant to keep it away from the lights...that plant put out more weight than anything I've see or read about. The 12-15 weeks wait is WELL worth it, just learn how to feed it...if you make ONE mistake feeding these sativas in that 12-15 weeks, you are doomed (or maybe that's why you never saw VERY impressive weight, the nutrients are extremely important, that's why it's aimed more at the highest level talented growers). p.s. This was an incredibly long time ago and I don't grow those things anymore.
