Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1461298 I also read that news article and thought "How the hell does a motor bike,I think it was a Harley, get washed up?" I can understand things that float would, but a bike? Wouldn't that sink straight to the bottom and stay in the general area? |

Things that size would just sink and be dragged off the coast of Japan. Herd immunity and vaccine free is the only way…… Peace not War. |

the lovely Atom-Boy User ID: 15456662 Japan 05/09/2012 06:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think/ know that some of this Stuff is very dangerous but not because of Radiation but other chemical Poison! Nowadays you need to be very careful when you go with Kids for a Debris-Coast. The Average for the Debris here in greater Nippon is afaik. 0,5Bq. which is nearly nothing! Anyway, it is a popular belief here that the Goods like Pictures, Cars, Jewelery or even Houses from the Tsunami here are loaded with a bad Karma/ Energy and No-one want to touch it! G.Y.!B.E. |

Quoting: UseLess RepEATER This article seems to suggest some debris is radioactive. The size of the debris pile is huge and goes for miles and miles out to sea. So we are just now starting to see the beginnings of a disaster for the west cost beaches and communities. [link to www.washingtonsblog.com] Last Edited by Merci on 05/09/2012 08:35 AM |

BRIEF User ID: 381742 United States 05/09/2012 08:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Can somebody please validate the claim that this flotsam is radioactive? My first question would be: if this shit was from the initial and subsequent washouts, how could it be radioactive since the alleged meltdown didn't occur until hours or days later (and is in fact allegedly in progress)? I realize this is a huge mess, but it seems to me if we are in fact being bombarded by radioactive particles, this would be an atmospheric assault not via this Jap debris? Quoting: UseLess RepEATER The wave of radioactive water is behind the debris...so won't be long... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15777503 United States 05/09/2012 08:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Trash has arrived. They are expecting tons and tons of this debris. They are training in hazmat to deal with clean up. This is going to be bad for the beaches on the west coast. Quoting: Merci “In my opinion, this is the single greatest environmental pollution event that has ever hit the west coast of North America. The slow-motion aspects of it have fooled an unwitting public. It far exceeds the Santa Barbara or Exxon Valdez oil spills in gross tonnage and also geographic scope. I realize this is a huge mess, but it seems to me if we are in fact being bombarded by radioactive particles, this would be an atmospheric assault not via this Jap debris? Quoting: UseLess RepEATER The water itself will be radioactive, if it isn't already. The guys at Fukushima have been using sea water to cool the reactors, and dumping the radioactive water back into the ocean. All that radiation does not just go away, it accumulates and travels with the currents. The initial tsunami water rushed in over the plant, then washed back out again, dragging everything with it. There could be anything from Fukushima's debris in that mess now washing up. There is also the atmospheric assault, as you call it. We are getting rads from air and sea. |

Quoting: UseLess RepEATER This is true, unless the earthquake was caused by a nuke. Then you'd have a radioactive tsunami hitting Japan. Everything would be radioactive with a nice cover up blaming the radiation on the power plants... |

"showed weird black gunk, a new large float on the shore and other disconcerting material. And it keeps coming. While impossible to immediately confirm a tsunami link. The ignorance of some people, geesh!! Must of come from the satellite crashing in the ocean last year. [link to www.alaskadispatch.com] |
