Folks,,, Simple,,, all the other parts of the world have found a happy balance between clean air and good mpg..
Our EPA,, went way beyond common sense and is the reason why our cars get 1/2 of what they could get.. After all if we used 1/2 the fuel where would the TAXes come from to fix the roads?????????
Its all a big game to dig deeper in our pockets..

Quoting: Sodbust 15777811 Yep, I saw someone comment here before that there was a car at one time tested as a prototype back in the 60's or so(never intended to be released) that could go 500mpg, and one guy had it and was using it and telling people. State got wind of it and wanted the car back, guy kept refusing till he finally gave in with the caveat he got a free car every year or something to that end for the rest of his life. It's too bad he gave in.....maybe we wouldn't be so fucked if he stood his ground.
