honestly if everyone saw the movie or at least read that link they would have a much better understanding of how and why things are happening

if that happened then the creators of metropolis would regreat making the film, since their goals are made so OBVIOUS

I'd say that is actually the point:

#1 to have a good ol laugh at our expense...literally showing us "the plan" and having us to think it is fiction

#2 to have us make the connection after the "remake" so we could add it to the reasons we will revolt...just like in the movie.
