What surprises me is not the video, but how so many still believe that evil doesn't exist and everything is love.

There's worse than this out there. Just because we don't witness evil in our personal lives doesn' t mean it doesn't exist. And i hope this teaches everyone a lesson that not all mothers are inherently kind and nurturing.

I had the same thought but I am guessing the person is recording because that was the only way to get the police to do anything about it. Im sure this wasnt a one time incident.

When I was in my late teens I once saw a woman holding a five year old above the ground by it's arm while she was kicking the poor thing. I screamed at her to stop and these old ladies that were nearby gave ME dirty looks...

I was hit as a child; there's no excuse for it. All it did was make me dislike my parents.

Will you be there to aid a multitude of mother with multitude of squalling little children? Oftentimes, a mother simply gets overwhelmed when this sad stuff happens. Lack of sleep, no help, where are these fathers to help? Out drinking or escaping because they don't want to deal with the baby either...it's "womans" work, but women get tired and need a break from a baby too.

Id be out touring the gardens of my Taj Mahal while my harem attends to the snotty noses and the ladies fight over makeup.

Seriously, I havent given it much thought on a woman getting overwhelmed. I do think the love of a good man keeps her happy. And therefore Happy Mom = Happy Baby.

Don't people usually have other family too? Siblings, parents, aunts, friends...

Children are difficult, which is one of the reasons I don't have any. However it's one thing to take rage out on an inanimate object - vandalism, trashing a peice of furniture, etc. and another to take it out on a baby.

Unfortunately the adoption system can be pretty dodgy too. In an ideal world ony parents who are really suited to the task would have children...

I know you weren't responding to me, but I agree that women a lot of the times get the job (or privilege depending on how you see it) ''dumped'' on them. I stayed at home with my son for 6 months after he was born. I don't work in the winter, my wife does. It's HARD work and stressful dealing with a baby all day. So props to single moms/dads that can pull it off successfully.

Asian kids, especially the boys, are usually indulged way beyond what we anglos do. A lot is expected of them though.

A little disipline goes a long way later in life. Kudos to the mother.

It's only discipline when the child understands why it's getting corrected...otherwise it's confused and just getting it's ass kicked...

Sadly this goes on so much more than we can imagine.I have seen videos like this with babysitters abusing the child.Its awful to watch.The poor little thing just wants cuddled.Cant trust leaving your kids with anyone now and in many cases the children are being treated just like this and worse by parents behind closed doors.Sad,evil world.

It's difficult having babies, especially if they are colicky and crying 23 hrs a day...I remember getting frustrated, and thank God we had a cat to kick...

They're not for everybody.

In a way, I can feel for the mother's frustration. In no way do I condone child abuse, I think she took it a place very few would ever dare. But how many of us had to lay our baby in the playpen or on a play mat and go outside for a breather because they were on a 2-3 hour (or more) cry-a-thon and we were at our wits end? I think most parents could say aye. The woman probably needed support and no one was there to really help her out with the kid and she just snapped. Believe it or not, humans are animals too. I watched one of my cat moms swat the living fuck out of a kitten that wouldn't leave her alone once. Not a play play swat, but she tore his ear and cut his face with her claws.

I had a baby that never stopped crying , as a single mother too it was bloody hard and at times I really do not know how I got through it , he cried day and night solid for months , then suffered febrile convulsions(11 ambulances) I lived on the edge for years....he is 9 now , I did feel like I was going mad at times BUT never ever once did I want to hurt him like this woman did her child....

That is so sad. WTF, I have a feeling that this is some kind of sick twisted technique of that certain races people of conditioning the baby at a young age..... regardless it's disgusting and fucked up. WTF
