Isn't it interesting how the excavation leader is name William Saturno. Those of you that no astrology will know what I'm talking about.

Those of us that don't know astrology very well will quietly hope that you elaborate. cool2

LOL!

Thank you for posting what I was too embarrassed to post. I don't know anything about Astrology even if I can look up into the night sky and point out constellations, star names, star clusters, nebulae, etc. Why there is a zodiac still eludes me. Too broadly interpretable for my tastes.

I still expect a small does of Hysteria when that date closes in. It's near enough common knowledge now, a few will be convinced they can have a few lawless acts before the end.

IF there is one that shows itself as clear as day.
Or they watch a brand new fear inducing documentary a month before..
 Quoting: ShabbyOrange

I think something interesting will happen to human consciousness when the date approaches. Many people are privately fed up with the way that we live our lives and many are subconsciously looking at this 'doomsday' implications with this date as a subtle form of RELIEF. Relief from the stressful and hectic and chaotic lives that we find ourselves living. Part of these people is feeling a 'release' inside that catastrophic events could provide for that much needed break in the way in which we live. People are slowly starting to integrate the idea in their consciousness that they do not really enjoy or like the manner in which we live. So..... If/when nothing bad happens precisely on that date, these same people are going to struggle severely to re-integrate their consciousness back into the old way of living and thinking. They're not going to want to buy back into the old systems. There will be a cognitive dissonance. Their true self is telling them that this approach to life does not work, but their conditioned self (or ego) is telling them that everything around them should adhere to this old way of thinking and living.

I don't know what's going to happen but I expect major changes in the manner in which we live and think about life. Either through earth changes, man made catastrophes (WWIII) or through a shift in consciousness.

seiko it's important to understand that the 'media' we are exposed to has very little concern for identifying 'truths' in our world. These media operations are powerful corporations who seek to be profitable, not truthful. The reason you are seeing an uptick in articles about this subject matter is because they are looking to cash in on the publicity and popularity of this theme - they are looking for hits, ad revenue, etc. It all comes back to money. They really don't care if the information they disperse is factual or not, just as long as somebody views it.

your right but governments can pay alot to keep information secret to protect themselves. but all secrets end up on sites like this but its hard to prove whats fact or what made up by some idiot

Yes it's hard to prove. Keep asking yourself questions and you will let your intuition guide you as to what has credibility and what does not. If you don't ask yourself questions you won't direct yourself to the answers.

For instance with this story of that woman fleeing with the documentary footage. If we only analyze the circumstances on the surface level, we may feel comfortable believing that she just got into a personal argument with other producers and childishly ran away with the content. But if you start to ask yourself about other sets of circumstances that may have contributed to those actions, you can dig deeper and see if perhaps there is a greater motivation at play.

For me I highly doubt that she invested all that time and energy into making this film, only to pull the rug out from under it and run away with all the hard work and resources that were put into the process. Unless she's going to try and release the material through her own channels, I strongly believe that someone else played a part in this.

Either way, knowing and understand this shift in consciousness, If it happens or not (Which is silly, because as you've said, people are integrating the idea into their consciousness anyway), we can look at this as a warning sign to be prepared for the others and ourselves who may not easily cope with going back to the old way of thinking and living.

This is why i am so grateful to everyone who posts here (GLP) about the Maya predictions, at least we all can be prepared for any eventuality, more so than people who dismiss any such predictions without warranting any thought to it.

And if it DOES happen, well, we have each other here to thank in a small way at least, for knowing we are not alone in the forth coming journey. Gosh damn i love GLP hf

Interesting thoughts Shabby.

Isn't it amazing that a distant and 'primitive' civilization in the Mexico & Guatemala region has had such a significant influence on the consciousness of the people of this world who find themselves living in 2012 - a time period that resembles literally NOTHING like the one in which the Mayans lived centuries ago. Mind blowing.

Makes you wonder if something we do today will serve as a similar catalyst for change in consciousness at some point in the future for a civilization on earth that resembles nothing like the one we have today. cool2

Re: Oldest Mayan calendar found at Xultun
I wonder why people think the well-known Mayan Calendar (Mayan or Aztec- They are the same people and the calender served one purpose: To use for farming as they were master farmers.

Anyway... To think the world ends when the calendar ends is erroneous and I wonder where this idea first started.

The calendar is in fact, an farming calendar used to vector in on the likely seasonal variation of an cycle in the hundreds or thousands of years. Therefore when the calendar ends, it reverts back to the beginning.

This is a point of interest. Does it indicate an external force that comes and returns? A second sun that affects the seasons just as well?

Logically There would be no ice or warm ages if we only had one sun because external forces would be mostly stable. However if there were external forces, like a second sun or failed star it would have dramatic effects depending on its orbital path.

Did the Mayans/ Aztecs know this?

I can't truthfully tell you i can answer your first question (The one taken out of the quote).

But in reguards to another planet, second sun or some such, and them knowing about such an object, this video about documents and artifacts which will be reviewed in another documentary (which has been reported to of been stolen Thread: BREAKING! OMG!Revelations of the Mayans 2012 and Beyond ..DOCUMENTARY IS STOLEN! )
i believe could very well answer those questions. But alas, we won't know if THAT holds those answers until it is released to us.

A fore said video= 11:51 is a good place to skip to if you're short on time.

So this article does not say yes or no to a 12-21-12 senario just that time continues to move forward. There is no specification as to who will be here if any after the 21st.

another thing is isn't it a bit odd that the closer we get to 12-21 the more the media finds to disprove it?

How do we know this new chamber says what we are told it says?

Read this post if you havent already Thread: BREAKING! OMG!Revelations of the Mayans 2012 and Beyond ..DOCUMENTARY IS STOLEN!

this tells me something other than we will all be fine for several more years?

Umm they most certainly did not rely on their calendar SOLELY for 'farming'. They utilized it to try and predict anything and everything that transpired around them. Not just 'farming'.

Re: Oldest Mayan calendar found at Xultun
little trivia - the oldest Mayan glyph dates back to 250 BC:

Newly discovered hieroglyphs show that the Maya were writing at a complex level 150 years earlier than previously thought.

The glyphs, which date to about 250 B.C., were found on preserved painted walls and plaster fragments in the pyramidal structure known as Las Pinturas, in San Bartolo, Guatemala.

Just noticed something, in the hires' pictures, the black coloured man sitting on the throne, does his head gear resemble the Ancient Egyptian head gear at the lower part of this picture?
I can't tell, but I see a resemblance. Can someone debunk this for me?
