Islamic holy texts call for the destruction or subjugation of all non-believers, or "infidels". In essence, the Qu'ran and Hadiths are an open declaration of war against all non-Muslims. One could argue that not all Muslims follow, or wish to follow, these directives. It doesn't matter. As long as they're there, it opens the door for any Muslim to follow them.

Islam declared war on the rest of the world 1400 years ago. If they were to take those verses out of their holy texts, I wouldn't have a problem with them. As it stands, they remain a threat.
