but that is very formal/old, typical used in a xmas greeting or so.

but if you want to say hello in danish, you can say

Hej,hejsa,Hallo,Dav,goddag,moin (certain dialekt ;D)

but hey and yo are acceptable aswell, with the young and cool kids ;p
