WRONG!! 1.00 - .10 = .90 he said it was a difference of a dollar

The total sum of 1.00 + .10 = 1.10 Take away the cost of the bat which is 1.00, you're left with .10. Unable do basic word problems, huh? try again. the difference between a dollar and 10 cents is not a dollar... the difference between 1.05 and .05 is one dollar.. therefore the ball is 5 cents.. What is $1 more than .10? No, you are the one that doesn't know how to read. Did he say the difference of the total price and the ball? or did he say the difference between prices of bat and ball. he asked for the difference of bat and ball.. therefore one dollar minus ten cents = 90 cents. did he ask for 90 cents? no he asked for a dollar. One dollar and five cents minus 5 cents = one dollar.
