Did he say the difference of the total price and the ball? or did he say the difference between prices of bat and ball.
he asked for the difference of bat and ball.. therefore one dollar minus ten cents = 90 cents. did he ask for 90 cents? no he asked for a dollar. One dollar and five cents minus 5 cents = one dollar.
