One lady was telling me about it when I saw her cursor move all over her screen - without her touching anything - and stuff start to be clicked. She turned it off. I told her to do what I did when I thought I was getting hacked - buy a MAC. |

Or were they conspiracy theorists of any kind? That would explain alot. "Be strong and courageous. OP...when you see that happening you MUST unplug you laptop immediately. I caught someone using a bot doing the EXACT same thing on a business server network....they had FULL admin rights on the server. I yanked the RJ45 right out of the half assed firewall the company was using....faster than you can say WHAT THE FOOK! ...saved their asses for sure. It has a virtual keyboard for logging into your personal sites (banking etc). Do not take memories of what happened yesterday, into what might happen today. I mentioned it in a thread and it stopped. Haven't heard clicking since. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15359896 Maybe it's on mute now and still doing something. Could be JAVA or FLASH. Both are very hackable and you won't see anything....or usually even hear anything. Also, the Flash based SUPERCOOKIES are extremely dangerous. No virus scanner, as of yet, can scan them. I don't let Java or Flash run on my PC unless I decide to allow them to run. Last Edited by Useless Cookie Eater on 05/12/2012 09:09 PM |

Someone has admin rights on your PC....usually obtained by using a bot (virus, malware) of some type....could have been a keyboard logger as well. Many ways these are placed on PC's....and MACS. Things to do if you are non-technical ....... 1) Run a couple malware / virus scanners. See what comes up. 2) Make sure Windows native REMOTE ACCESS / ASSISTANCE is turned off on your PC. 3) Change all your online passwords from ANOTHER non-infected PC. 4) TAKE YOUR LAPTOP to a TECH PRO and have it cleaned. If it were me I'd wipe it clean and reload the O/S from scratch. Nuke it from space....it's the only way to be sure. Last Edited by Useless Cookie Eater on 05/12/2012 09:22 PM |

If you're never seen this happen, you will see the mouse move around. They are able to see your computer on their screen. Quoting: Dease This happened to me last night, but I defintely did not give anyone my ID number, or permission to access my computer. It happend last night around 9 or 10 PM. My husband and I had gone somewhere, and my mom was staying with our 3 year old daughter. Mom had our daughter in the rocking chair, and she was going to sleep. My laptop was in the chair next to it. She saw a light come on, and looked over. Someone had entered into my laptop. She couldn't get up to take a closer look becaue of the baby, but she said they were switching from one screen to the other really fast. After a few minutes, they turned the computer off. Although we had a ghost in our house a while back, I really don't think I can blame this on that. I think it was someone hacking into my computer. Has this ever happened to any of you? I wondered if maybe it's because of GLP. Maybe someone doesn't like what we're talking about on here. download malwarebytes and do a full system scan. norton AV will not catch trojans. also change your password [link to www.malwarebytes.org] Ron Paul - 2012 |

One good practice might be to just shut down your computer when you leave home or go to bed. Also, get a good firewall software and keep the security level high. When I was younger I used to mess about in the FXP scene, some here might be aware of what it is. Anyway, an older NT exploit allowed use of dameware's mini remote to do exactly what your mum experienced. Myself and friends used to have a good giggle messing around with folk in this manner. Immature I know, but as I said I was a lot younger lol. Anyway dont freak, it may just be some script kiddie having some fun and growin his e-peen. |

It functions extremely well as a remote support program, but in the wrong hands, someone else could access your PC from anywhere. |
