Why the fuck Sun looks larger at sunrise and sunset

our atmosphere is cracking which allows more rays in. (not good)

Anytime celestial bodies are closer to the horizon, they appear to be bigger, it is just an optical illusion.

This is why OP..it is because you have something to compare its' size to,like a Tree or House.

Because the sun is getting closer to earth and it's going to swallow us up..what do you think.

I'll have to get a baseball cap sometime, have an object hanging from the rim (something clear and steady) and look at the moon (with 1 eye), and trace a circle around it. Then, later, when it's higher in the sky -see if it appears any larger (or smaller) than it did when I traced it's size earlier. Or find some way to take a time-lapse photo.

I understand this, but there's also the effect of it appearing to have a darker color, sometimes with it being distorted -like it's being stretched on both sides, or flattened when closer to the horizon. eta: ah, refraction. ;-)

Because it is low over the horizon when it rises and sets. Same with the moon and the brighter planets like Venus.

The Camera sees what you do..have you comparison photos to back your shit up?

has always been this way, even the stars and planets do. Google may be your friend as to how to explain it. it simply IS otherwise. Cameras see what you see, because its not an "illusion". but cameras if you will notice, sometimes see more than our eyes can too.

Get an education. Several people has answered your 1rst grade question correctly. Yes it is a magnification effect of the atmosphere. Your camera has to look via the atmosphere also. Don't think that ir is just an illusion of our brains.

No... the camera sees what is there. You see what your mind thinks you saw.
