It's a parhelion.... it's quite interesting that more and more people are either noticing these natural phenomena or are questioning them more now?

They appear mostly at sunset or sunrise around the sun but can also appear on the opposite side of the parhelic circle.. as the one in the 'really weird man... so weird' video in OP's post

I guess if you've never seen a parhelion you'd think it was pretty weird.. but soon figure it out no? Do some people in arid countries get freaked out when they see a rainbow for the first time dya think?

Ask yourself this: If this were something extraordinary why wouldn't you see this night after night? Why just once in a while?

Occam's answer: It a phenomenon of light refraction due to the curvature of planet when certain atmospheric conditions present themselves. Simple. End of story.

Listen, I feel things are changing and I know we're not being told the truth about a lot of things but..something this blatant and/or this extra dot in the sky 'that's not Venus' would not nor can not present themselves casually and randomly like this. It would be obvious to every single amateur astronomer and would make alternative news head line!!

Yup, the video in the first post looks to be around 120º from the Sun, which would be a 'parhelion' brightening of the arc.

I agree and it's real cool that people are putting down their iPods and watching the sky more but....they tend to ask the question then...question or reject the answer. As if they WANT it to be something more than it is.
That's not learning. That's looking for trouble that's not even there.

I can understand being awestruck and maybe even confused when you first see unusual things but c'mon already. If you were REALLY baffled you'd search then re-search this out on the Internet instead of high-tailing your ass to a conspiracy site looking for answers that suit your (wrong) suspicions.
