The US Flagship turns into a "drunken boat".... wow... truer words have never been spoken.

I speak to many of my friends over in the States and all I hear is how so many are alcoholics or on drugs. It's bad. I remember when I lived in the states and so many people I knew were on drugs of some sort.

One of my friends told me he knew someone that regularly sold cocaine to the sales guys at a reputable Dodge dealer. They did "coke" while they were working in the offices.

So, the reality is.... "like people, like govt" I guess. It all trickles down and up and just like Revelation says... "Babylon was a golden cup in the LORD's hand... but now it is filled with abominations.... Babylon makes all the nations drink of the 'maddening wine' of her adulteries..."

I find this "drunken boat" thing to be right on target, even if it's just a metaphor....

Might be a big "hooray" from some people, but even if the US is so evil, what is the post-American alternative? Could be even more evil and scarier....

Does anyone want Russia or China to be the new world Policeman??

i as thinking about it today but those pessimistic news about usa is not completely true.
they do have very talented and isciplined people working very hard.if you forget politicians,ceos,bankers,feminists,stock brokers,govt workers,lawyers,communists,NGO owners,journalists,media workers;rest of the americas are very decent.
despite its tremendous social problems,americans have managed to educate its kids and they are still at top.

Let's hope so. I'm not feeling too good about that prospect at this moment though... gotta be honest.

Stuff is falling apart and social unrest seems to be looming on the horizon. It's going to be interesting to see how this summer plays out with it being election year and all the tensions in the middle east.

China is definitely a MAJOR MAJOR player in how all this is going to turn out. But can they become THE world power just by holding America's debt?

It would seem the only way out would be a war and unless China can boat their 200 million man army to the US, they don't have the technology within their military to win.... such as subs, ships, air force etc...

Now, man to man on the ground.... they could lose 10 soldiers to our one and still come out on top. But where would this take place? The valley of Megiddo??

Nothing will change without some real pain, the people have not felt real pain yet. Most have ok jobs and are getting along ok while others are on the GOV tit and are scamming the system … the real question is when is the breaking point?

VERY astute observation! When IS the breaking point? Where does it break? Why does everything seem to be moving in that direction... i.e. getting worse?

Is it just something that is "happening"... or is it orchestrated?

What is the goal? Why? Is it that the American people are the really the only ones left that resist world government?

Is there a spiritual component to all of this?

These are the questions I ponder....

Just drop the hammer. We're all ready to work to change.

I get a lot of wisdom from Biblical text. Here's a couple of excerpts that make me think....

Amo 6:3 You put off the evil day and bring near a reign of terror.

Isa 5:19 Woe to those who say, "Let God hurry, let him hasten his work so we may see it. Let it approach, let the plan of the Holy One of Israel come, so we may know it."

Maybe they WANT to force God's hand, to see what He will do. Maybe they hold off the end times and try to prolong it for a reason.

Dan 7:25 And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Maybe it's to wear people down. To wear them out mentally, physically and spiritually to reduce resistance to the coming world order.

Just some thoughts.....

China is getting there. How quickly their military catches up to USA level is probably the key. Then there's plan for China to build their own city in USA... [link to endoftheamericandream.com] that could be a Trojan Horse. Who knows?

Also, Obama (and Democrat Party) don't seem to care much for maintaining a strong US military so if Obama wins 2012 election, US military could weaken significantly.

I'm of the opinion that America IS the "Daughter of Babylon" in prophecy. It fits the description to a tee. Read Jeremiah 50-51.

Regardless of how you feel about biblical text, you have to at least see the obvious parallels.

From Jeremiah 5.... Gotta admit it fits the bill. Notice the bolded text. "IN a land NOT YOUR OWN" does not mean the people will be RELOCATED, it could very well mean that the land that was their own was BOUGHT and now it's NOT their land anymore!!

14 Therefore this is what the LORD God Almighty says:

“Because the people have spoken these words,
I will make my words in your mouth a fire
and these people the wood it consumes.
15 O house of Israel,” declares the LORD,
“I am bringing a distant nation against you—
an ancient and enduring nation,
