Review your claims, fear-monger!

Sun's photosphere temperature: 4500- 6000 K = 7641-10341 ºF

Review your information and your physics.

There's nothing in Chernobyl "still burning down to the Earth's core" (See a simple reference: [link to en.wikipedia.org] ) because the fission melting core with the surrounding materials (corium) is able to reach a depth of dozens of meters, but no more: the corium dissipates its thermal energy in the surrounding material, breaking up and solidifying (See, e. g. [link to en.wikipedia.org] ) Of course, if the melted core reach enough quantity of underground water: fireworks!

Be serious! "The China Syndrome" scenario is a fictional one (a movie) without connection with reality. The real problem with the Fukushima accident is the radioactive contamination of the ground (the less important), the air (very important) and the sea (this could be a global catastrophe). This later could cause a huge impact over the marine ecosystems (plankton and subsequent food chains), and consequently, over the global food reserves.

And, BTW, in the worst scenario, you, the USA, will suffer the most dramatic consequences (after Japan): there is a spot of radioactive contamination that goes to your west coasts by ocean currents. If you want responsibilities, ask for explanations to the General Electric, the firm that designed the reactor (poorly), and to the TEPCO, the company that compromised with that.

Good luck!.

he said it was still burning and they were going to have to put more cement under the site.

1. In the case that the source was credible (have you been able to find any other reference except of from enenews.com?) Dr. M.K. has not been in Chernobyl in his f. life (BTW, Me yes, and twice). He's not a nuclear physicist, but a theoretical one. He's accustomed to the camera flashes and the TV and radio shows, and his claims are, the most of the time, grandiloquent with the purpose to gain the public acceptance.

2. There's no evidence (there are no peer review papers in a science journal, neither in the West or in Rusia) of a melted core "still burning" in the basement of the rests of Chernobyl Central: if not, find me one.

3. The words are only that, words. It doesn't care who pronounces them, but the evidence for sustaining them: published scientific investigation and no authority appeals are the bases of credible statements.

To put this in perspective, the melting point of uranium dioxide is 2865 °C that is 5,189 °F

Molten lavas temperature is just 700 °C to 1300 °C.

*EDIT*

Or the photosphere of the sun is just around 5,500 Celcius. So we are talking just about half the temperature of the suns photosphere!

Fixed, thx for pointing out my error.

One thing we all seem to agree on is this is a very serious event and it does not seem to be going anywhere but downhill.

Re: Physicist: Fukushima Unit 2 Has 100% liquification, Never Seen Before In Nulclear Physics
Understand me well! What I mean is: forget amazing dangers with the melted or no melted core because there's a real danger with the radioactive contamination of Fukushima. That is the incontrollable scenario: the real possibility of contaminated food all over the world, and the dead of numerous people by cancer, principally in Japan, and USA.

This catastrophe must alert to the populations that the nuclear energy production is so vulnerable to a natural disaster (between other reasons) that the consequences to the human life can be incalculable.

At the temp it is at now....IT MELTS THROUGH EVERYTHING.

They have done controlled experiments to study corium steam explosion. There are many factors in play and the extent of pre-mixing as well as composition data are needed to make any sort of projection.

In plain english... they don't freakin' know. Reactor 2 is the most likely due to the fact that all of the fuel has melted. The corium has a high concentration of zirconium mixed in from the melted fuel assembly pin cladding which creates a more volatile mixture.

Since it hasn't exploded yet, I believe that the melted fuel was partially quenched as it relocated to the bottom of the vessel where it reformed as a molten pool due to decay heat. This happened with 20 tons of corium melt at TMI within 2 minutes while the vessel was full of water. No steam explosion.

The control rods used in the Mark I reactor are inserted from the bottom through holes. The corium probably dripped through quickly.

Then, it melted through the bottom of the vessel and ablated the concrete. Not knowing the specific factors involved precludes accurate timing of the corium's descent.

It is all speculative at this point because.... nobody knows for sure what is going to happen. It could have gathered enough impurities to be in a relatively stable state or it could be resistant to this due to the high zirconium and metal content or some other unknown factors..

One thing is for sure... If it hits groundwater, there will be a helluva blast. The transfer of energy happens in milliseconds causing explosive vaporization of the water. The vapor is produced so rapidly that it creates immense pressures. If it has melted into the ground, it has created a launch tube. The ejecta from this explosion would likely reach into the upper atmosphere.

IMHO.

where you not telling everyone hither and thither that you had more knowledge as to the melt downs?

i am assuming that they failed your shilling protectorate for tepco/ governments payments, abilities and now you are changing nics for dissassociation through web checking against your earlier posts, so as to scrub your past nasty opinions..... and attacks on anyone that made opinion voiced against your status-quo...

the truth is like a slow burning candle, it takes time to take light, but eventually burns quite brightly....

do divulge, oh great shill of safety....

change your nic as often as you like, i do enjoy documenting you, as all other information i find on this topic, for historical reflection..... you sir, look like a dick.... and people will see it without glasses....

it's called time-lined historical archiving.... try to learn the method....

MICE ARE NOT HUMANS, FUCKTARD.. NOR ARE THERE RADIATION TOLARANCES THE SAME AS HUMANS,,, JUST LIKE COCKROACHES OR ANTS WHICH CAN SURVIVE GREATER AMOUNTS. THIS HAS EVEN BEEN ADMITTED AND TESTED ON MAINSTREAM TV SHOW , MYTHBUSTERS.

ITS NO SUPRISE THAT THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT AND PRO NUCLEAR EVIL SHILLS WANT TO RAISE THE LEVELS WE CAN RECIEVE. SIMPLY TO TAKE SOME PRESSURE AWAY FROM THEIR NUCLEAR WORK.

Mice are Mammals like Human, you non educated Something,
there are not Ants and they are not Cockroaches!

I never saw "Mythbusters" but they sounds, hmmmm, bad- yes, BAD!

YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED. THEIR RADIATION TOLLERNCES VARY SIGNIFICANTLY FROM HUMANS.
AS FOR ANTS, THEY CAN EASILY SURVIVE A NUCLEAR WINTER THAT WOUDL KILL ALL HUMAN LIFE.

You see, you know nothing about how this Tests are working!

Mouses are just the first Steps because they are high and well develop, they have a Spine and 4 Legs and Hands +
their Reproductions Cycle is very quick!

The next Step would be Monkeys.

They don't test Humans (normally)

"Waffle (speech)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

The term waffle, particularly outside the U.S., denotes language without meaning; blathering, babbling, droning. One might waffle throughout an essay or a presentation, when not having enough material, or needing to fill in time. Etymologists say the term was derived from waff[1], a 17th-century onomatopoeia for the sound a barking dog makes, similar to the modern woof. Although the relationship between a dog's bark and indecisiveness is unclear, the inference is that waffle words have about as much meaning as the noise made by a dog barking.

Waffling can also be used as a derogatory term; to describe, for instance, a candidate or politician who is considered to easily switch sides on issues to curry political favor (i.e. "flip-flop"), as an easily flipped breakfast food with the same name. A waffle was famously used to represent President Bill Clinton in the Doonesbury comic strip.[2]

The term "to waffle" denotes indecision about particular subjects; "waffling" can also mean changing one's mind frequently on a topic. Example: "Craig always waffles when he's speaking to Genevieve on the telephone". To which Genevieve usually replies "Come on Craig, come out with it!".

Waffling is also a method of hazing a poorly performing team in the game of hockey. This occurs when fans of the losing team throw waffles onto the ice (usually not purchasable within the stadium), implying the team has 'waffled' through the game with little effort or offensive strategies. The Toronto Maple Leafs are noted as the team which started this bizarre cultural phenomenon.[3]

Calling someone a shill serves one purpose, and one purpose only...to discredit the speaker in absence of the ability to win the debate.

If someone is really a 'shill' and purposely presenting incorrect information, then it should be easy enough to win the debate against them, should it not?

The truth of the matter, is when you call someone a 'shill', what you're really saying is 'I'm out of my league, so I'm resorting to Plan B - character assassination'
 Quoting: CleverMoniker 15254278

For as long as Atom Boy suppopts nuclear power, and specifically TEPCO, he will be the enemy and considerd a shill.

It does NOT take a SCIENTIST to realize that we A. Cannot control nuclear power. B. Cannot control natures power. C do not NEED nuclear power and D. NUCLEAR POWER IS NOT SAFE.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1546575

Well said AC. No disputing this. We ALL see it.
Fundamental points being overlooked in this debate. Once again common sense has been the first casualty.

Re: Physicist: Fukushima Unit 2 Has 100% liquification, Never Seen Before In Nulclear Physics
So did they not know that liquification was possible? How is it being liquid different from its prior state?
 Quoting: Cammi

The atoms can move more freely. In a corium blob, that is bad news. It means any micro changes in temperature will create severe neutrino bursts.

It also means the reaction can adjust to temperature easily making it much harder to gain control/extinguish.

If anything comes in contact with the corium blob with lower temperature, it will cause the atoms to be closer in distance. But that will make more fission events per immediate release neutron. So it will grow in intensity directly proportional to the cooling induced prior.

Basically this thing is nearly unstoppable. Any cooling will increase the reaction. Try to cool it 50 degrees and it will surge 500 degrees hotter in response.

In my Opinion this is not right because this Corium
do not provide endless Energy!

There is a ongoing Decay and this decayed Material
will form a outer Layer which is cold/ cooler than the Inside!

It is like catching itself because this outer Layer
get bigger and bigger+ we have all the other Materials!
