He will never say, ‘You must respect me, admire me, obey me…’ Never "Not knowing what a Master can represent for them, some disciples do not know how to behave towards him. So they prevent him from being as useful to them as he could be and would like to be, thus hindering their own development. It is up to the disciple to discover how to relate to the Master, how to regard him and behave towards him. It is not for the Master to make recommendations on the matter. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16038962 A true Master merely gives his teaching and allows his disciples freedom. He will never say, ‘You must respect me, admire me, obey me…’ Never. Firstly, because there is no point: you can never really impose respect, admiration or obedience. Then, because the Master does not need those things: he has other sources of joy and satisfaction. It is up to the disciples, for their own evolution, to find the best way to be in relation to their Master, whether he is still on earth or in the next world." |

He will never say, ‘You must respect me, admire me, obey me…’ Never "More and more people systematically reject the idea of a spiritual master on the grounds that charlatans and sharks can pass themselves off as gurus. But what odd reasoning! Do these people stop listening to music because some musicians compose awful sounds? Do they no longer visit museums because certain artists paint carelessly? Do they no longer read books because some authors write nonsense? Why then this lack of logic? The truth is that to listen to music, to seek out works of art or to read books is quite easy, whereas to undertake the path of the spiritual life, to accept a discipline and to act with disinterestedness requires great time and effort. Then are not all these people, who find every excuse to refuse the light of a true guide and to make no effort, simply lazy?" |

He will never say, ‘You must respect me, admire me, obey me…’ Never "So many disciples do not know what they should be doing when they have a master. Because of the books they have read or the stories they have been told, they set about looking for a master. And once they think they have found one, they start asking themselves irrelevant questions: 'Is my master the reincarnation of Jesus, of St. John, of Buddha? Is he Melchizedek?' Well, this is all a waste of time, and it would be far better if a disciple thought about what would be most useful for their master, and for themselves. And the most useful thing they can do is to learn to work with love and light. And a disciple should not ask themselves whether their master is greater or less great than any other either. This is not what will make them evolve. What will help their evolution is their work and their faithfulness to their master." |

But if you are not ready to accept his influence, nothing can force you. So, whether your Master succeeds in making you love the spiritual life still depends on you." |
