You make the false assumption that a house cat weighing 400 lbs would still have the same abilities as a house cat weighing 10 lbs. Just 40x more. This is an logical falacy.


The increased size and weight would cause a number of issues, but basically in order to achieve what you are looking for, everything would have to increase in the same proportions. It would be extremely agile and flexible, but it would have very lightweight and fragile bones.

If the cat instead was bulked up much like large predator cats, the strength would not be as proportionate due to carrying heavier bones, additonal weight, and slower metabolism. Natural adaptations create characteristics as a protection. Small cats have speed and agility while larger cats have strength.

I think the kittehs are fine the size they are.....my cats are affectionate lap cats and some like to sleep curled up on my chest or tummy at night....not fun with a 400lber.....
