What is the real reason they took " DOOMSDAY PREPPERS" off the air ?

well it hasnt been on NGC the last 2 weeks.... I watched it sinse the 1st one at 8:00pm central time. did the move the day or network ????

Uh...because the first season was only half a dozen episodes?

you can only show those episodes so many times.

Also,while some of the "preppers" were portrayed in a half serious way , others were so GOOFY that there was no way to take them seriously

And now they're having trouble getting other "preppers" to volunteer to be on the show.

Because they know that they will be lumped in with the kooks



"Preppers" fall into 3 basic categories


1. People who prepare for disasters that can actually occur

2. People from the aforementioned group , but "prepping" becomes their hobby , and they go overboard with it

Sometimes a little ( 4 MONTHS of food stored in the garage )

Sometines a lot ( 4 YEARS of food, guns, ammo, silver and other supplies in a hidden bunker at an "undisclosed site" )

3. Doomsday theorists who think that the world is going to end ( usually on a specific date )


The trouble with the show "Doomsday Preppers" is that it was NOBODY was from group 1, a FEW people from group 2 and MOSTLY people from group 3.

The show has shown up at PREPPER conventions to see if anyone would like to be on the show. There was a convention here last month where they were asking so it's still filming.

The REAL truth is, the 'nobody' came forward and said "take it off or else."

And that was it.

Game over.

i agree about the overboard peeople, so basically they cant get enough volunteers ? It was quite comical when they would show where there stash is and say " this is secret and no one knows "

If you actually watched the last 3 episodes they asked for people to call a number if the want to be on season 2.

I've been looking around online for months and can't find anything saying it was discontinued, but I haven't seen any ad's for the fall season yet.

I hope it returns soon. I quite enjoyed watching the show and seeing how prepared some of the people were.

Also gives me a few ideas on food production and medicine stockpiling should the need arise.

Nobody watched it. It's a rating games. I don't care what the show is about, if they have an audience, it stays on the air.

Big Brother is the dumbest show on the air, and I hate that shit, but nobody wants to cancel that shit.

Anderson Cooper had all the Cast and Crew from the Show on his Show. Go watch it. They talked all about the show and what they all think now as to how they felt before the show. None of them actually believed in it before but ALL DO NOW. THEY THINK it will be a Solar Flare or Pole Shift out of all the coming stuff presented. Pandemic and Economic chaos seconds. Go watch the show. It was great. Better than the rest of Anderson's stuff lately. He Sucks Now.

You guys are great. 'They' took the show off the air and now we can only speculate it is some conspiracy. If the information is so pertinent and so grand that they don't want people knowing about it, why even allow the show to be filmed in the 1st place? Never ceases to amaze me the shit you speculate. as was said it's an obvious attempt to get as many to prep as possible. less for the gov to care for, assuming the gov is still operational afterwards

THE SHOW IS NOT CANCELLED. They never gave out any addresses of any of these people. It was all kept very vague. Some people stuck their necks out ya but most didn't.On the Anderson Cooper show they talked about going to OTHER PLACES not on the show. They said the caliber of people alot professionals was mind bogeling.It whats not on shows somtimes thats most interesting. Go watch Anderson Coopers interview with the WHOLE GANG.
