Tetanus? WTF?

Yea this is a money scam.

I had to get a tetnus from a cat bite at work about six months ago.
I had no clue it was pertusis added till afterwards. I stayed sick to my stomach about four months after. I am glad I am finally better. Just still irks me about how they never told me till after. I would have told them to kiss my ass beforehand.

Yup I agree the only time a Dr. told me to get a tetanus was after my spoiled dog bit me I did not get one, I lived. Also I thought they were only giveing whopping cough to new moms....strange.

I don't think Tetnus is a problem unless you have reason to believe you have a wound exposed to a lot of dirt, like stepping on a rusty nail. Other than that, I stay away from vaccines. Most of them are made with heavy metals that are very bad for living things. Add to that the doubious DNA you get with it, and I think the risks outweigh the benifits.

They do offer (sometimes it has to be special ordered) a Tt (tetanus toxin) shot, which is just tetanus without the extra diseases.

I wouldn't touch it either way, but there ya go for options...

I was also surprised about the whooping cough- I am 25 years old. I would have got the whooping cough long ago when my parents got me vaccinated.

My husband stepped on a very long, very rusty nail and I rushed him to the hospital to get his shot.

I won't be getting the shot. Damn I wish I remembered what the THIRD thing in the vaccine was for... Should have wrote it down...

I'd take the tetanus one

I cut my finger really badly over the weekend with an old pair of kitchen shears. There was a doctor friend of mine at my house later that night who recommended that I should get a Tetanus shot since I don't remember ever having one.

I went and got it yesterday and feel great today. No arm pain, I can't even see where I got stuck. No nausea or anything else that I read about.

It does kind of suck because I wanted only the Tetanus shot but they didn't have that, they only had the shots that included the Diphtheria and Pertussis vaccines.. The first vaccines I've had in many, many years. But like I said, I feel no different today than I do any other day so hopefully it's all good.

When i was bitten by a dog i was told that i should get the Tetanus vaccin. I did it and i feel fine.

Tetanus shot caused me years of problems. they are dangerous. dont take it.

My inclination is to tell you to get those vaccines. These have been around a long time and I think are fairly well tolerated.

As for the whooping cough--I'm 63, and I heard a child, standing only a couple yards away from me winter before last coughing like I had not heard since I was pre-teen. Yes, it's been over 50 years since I heard that nightmarish cough and hope never to hear it again. Apparently whooping cough is back and why subject yourself and others to it if you can avoid it?

Hell no! My doctor told me I HAD to get it, that he got a letter stating it was mandatory for him to give it to all his patients. He kept pushing and I kept saying NO. I left shot free...now I need to find a new doctor!

I fell hiking a few weeks ago. Busted my knee up real bad. 14 stitches. I did get a tetanus shot because I hit a rock with dead leaves and dirt and it was quite a big wound. I haven't has any problems at all from the shot, not even a sore arm. I thought it was only a tetanus shot, didn't realize it had other crap in it. Guess I need to ask my doc about it.

Find a DO instead of an MD. They have the same training as an MD, but they also have an additional 500 hours of extra training in natural healing methods. They are less likely to push the vaccines.

It is impossible to gain natural immunity to Tetanus. The body does not produce Clostridium Tetani antibodies, therefore the vaccine cannot give you artificial antibodies since none can be made naturally.

It's a scam folks.
