Casual supermarket poppy seeds are the real deal poppies. If you are concerned about them being zapped before sale, get organic poppy seeds at health food store. When sowing them, add an ice cube over each or spread in the snow as it is their natural cycle to be frozen first. Don't ever grow the stuff unless tshtf, then people will need it for medicine, shade tree surgeries, trade, cough syrup, etc |

I have an ample veggie garden, herb garden and just planted apple, cherry and peach trees. Also have rasberries, blueberries and black berries coming up this year (taken three years for them to come on nicely). I also have a green onion and garlic patch. Isn't the grand maker of all things, the one true God amazing. Isn't it wonderful to get back to nature's good stuff and not get it off the stands in the store? God is good. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1290518 Morning Glory seeds minus the mercuric coating on for planting purposes. Got to let Morning Glory seeds grow to full flower, then get seeds, cause they'll be mercuric coated free. Better yet some "ergot" off some Rye plants, and purified, and then give extract to all Federal Judges and Federal Prosecutors, so perhaps they wouldn't lie so much and do cases for "Political and Career" Advancements favors for each other. I still have a Federal Judge and a Federal Prosecutor, that still live a lie from 10-31-1989. And have yet to unbesmirch and unslander me. I guess one thing bad about jewish people, especially the Kapo type jewish people (from USDOJ), they are the most pig headed, stubborn, liar, fabricator, con/fraud people in the World and USA. Quoting: pink cat and WHY :) also pick 10 things that YOU could grow in your zone. picking something like an exotic mushroom is not going to do any good if you live in a temperate zone. be realistic. also: Thread: Dawn Redwood Tree! Can grow 7 feet a year! Endangered, Ancient and GORGEOUS! and You can have one! also last but not least: Thread: Guerilla Gardening and Seed Bombing! :) and NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY SEEDS ONLINE THERE WILL BE NO INTERNET NEXT YEAR, imo (had to throw some doomage in there for good measure. but actually i am serious) and adding this: recommendations for a good book to get about herbal medicine? and does anyone here do seed trading? Excellent topic, pink cat. I think a lot of the best stuff grows wild around here, like elderberry and dandelions, but I would add: garlic onions mint parsley/cilantro beets horse radish oregano aloe blueberries (they do grow wild, but not predictably and not immediately around me) apples When you have to narrow it down, you realize how many great things there are in nature. I don't think they would grow in Massachusetts, but I love the eastern spices - turmeric, ginger, ginseng - some of the best stuff. Also, there's a particular plant I can't think of at the moment that's high in Omega 3 oils - maybe someone can remind us??? If I could expand the list, I'd add in sprouts as a good, live food source that I understand has a love of vitamins. And cabbage. LOL, the list is endless! |
