I agree. Many times, if there is a divorce, the wife leaves with all the money, even if the man earned it all. Or the man has to pay many many thousands per month so that woman can live. Its terrible and not fair. Even if wife bangs other guy and you get divorce, you still have to pay her.

who "needed a place to stay". Two years later we divorced
and they lied to the cops, the courts, their church, the kids and god himself about me, and their relationship. Not a damn word of truth but since two women had the same story everyone beleived them - so she got the kids in the divorce and I got to work two jobs to pay the child support and alimony and only see my kids every other weekend. this is not what I wanted - it's what she wanted - and I thought I knew her. She wanted me out of the picture but was not mature enough to jsut say "hey I'm in love with someone else"...no they made it a point to destroy me in every way.

And the kids are the ones who suffered. Once my son was 20 he told his mother he knew she lied and was abusive then left - and no one has heard from him since - it's been five years and he believes no one cares about him and he doesn't need us. Call me romantically idealistic, but if I am in to a guy, and he likes me there is nothing this fucking complicated involved. You go on dates, he pays, you calm him down when he's angry, he tells you you're beautiful, you boost his ego by being with him and enjoying it. There's exchanges, sacrifices, and losses in every relationship with any depth. If you feel so inclined you get married, if you realize you aren't 'in love' and aren't ready to settle down you don't. It's because we like to think that shit is so multidimensional and complex that it becomes exactly that.
