Quoting: Cosa Nostra I've already posted this in a similar thread yesterday lads. No bank runs and no withdrawal limit. Everythin here is as normal as it can get. So, common citizens withdrawing over 1 billion dollars from their nation's banks in the last 48 hours is NORMAL behavior? Biko |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 4015910 Spain 05/16/2012 01:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | (Money Watch) There are indicators that the run on Greek banks is already over, leaving many institutions near complete collapse. Depositors have pulled out a record amount of money in the last 10 days and there are reports that the ECB is no longer willing to lend to either them or the Greek central bank, which is also in a precarious situation. Quoting: Cosa Nostra Since May 6, depositors fearful over a Greek exit from the Euro have taken more than $6.42 billion out of the nation's banks, with $898 million coming on Monday alone fyi there in NO increase in ATM withdrawals despite media are trying to present it this way. There is an increase in wire transfers of big amounts towards foreign banks. Ordinary depositors have nothing to do with it. I suspect there is an intentional misinformation probably to cause this exact thing, the so called "bank run" (which is also a lie because there is no bank run from ordinary people). still a bank run, no matter who's doing it running out of cash isn't the issue -- it's deposits vs liabilities We transferred our euros back to our British Pound account, in England. There's just no point in waiting to see how any of this may play out and affect the euro in general. |

As i said the bank run happened ages ago. The banks need their 18BN recap and they are pushing with all their means. |

They know that they are about to kick the Euro and return to some other currency. Those few that have wealth have transfered their money months ago already to outside banks or have excanged euros into US$ or into gold, papers, fonds, houses - whatever. These have insider trading agents working for them, so no surprises there. The average greek man and woman who fight to make a living with the few Euros they have nothing in the bank accounts, because they need every cent cash in their pockets. So who is doing the bankrun ? Could only be the "middle class" or some foreigners or some very dumb "sheeples". What is more interesting : the Greece PM ( the current puppet ) has started the bankrun the minute he talked about it on TV ( and when he talked about it, it was already a day or so in action ) and thus the greek "government" have created a panic. Of course the anouncement of "limitation" is more oil to the fire. So the only question has to be asked : Who profits from a "coordinated" breakdown, civil unrest, protesters,in greece that will follow naturally ? |

Greece is a bust on purpose, and your little govt shill ass is a liar and not in control of anything, including your dick! These are unemployed and/or unlucky, like me (unemployed at the moment). The difference between them and me is that I don't have a family (wife, children), I have a few bills to pay per month and that I was saving money for 5 years straight while I had a job without spending for things that wouldn't be of any use to me, so I have some in the bank that could get me going even for a year from now. I don't blame them because most of them had a "steady" jobs or a thriving business before the crisis but they never cared about voting the right people. All things are fragile under such a crisis. |

My guess except the obvious reasons i stated above, is that they want to start a bank run in the other countries that are being hit now by the speculators like Spain and Portugal. Things are not going as planned for them here in Greece , so they have to move faster to achieve their plans. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16140690 Greece 05/16/2012 01:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | we will know for sure when people stop international trade with them , because they have no way to pay for the goods. Then the greek people will starve to death. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1267719 Most of the people of the big cities come from the countryside, so if we don't have the money or cannot find food, we'll go to the villages of our fathers or grandfathers and we'll plant food (although there is a lot of food growing there that needs to be cut from a tree or the ground). So, don't worry. |

Yep they can do it. We had an ECB bankster prime minister for about half a year, so i believe they are capable of announcing that Greece is in some kind of emergency state and force a govt of technocrats. Banks haven't got any money from the 2nd memorandum yet (1st tranche is about to be given this or the next week) and they see that the odds, if the new elections are held, are that they will never see the bailout money. I think that the MSM are already pushing in this direction. |
