Morgan Stanley Is Having A Worse Week Than JPMorgan, Here's Why

5/16/2012 @ 4:01PM

JPMorgan Chase isn’t the only firm on the Street having a tough week. Morgan Stanley is having a worse one in terms of its stock performance.

Since Monday shares of Morgan Stanley have dropped 9.3%. Today Morgan shares fell 4.3% to close at $13.54–a level not seen since November. JPM shares have sunk over 3.4% since Monday following news last week that it lost $2 billion on a trade gone bad.

So what’s behind the drop at Morgan Stanley ? Bank analyst Dick Bove says it’s all about Greece. “It is definitely Europe. The belief is that the failure of Greece will bring down much of Europe and the hedges Morgan Stanley put in place will not work,” he says.

At the end of March, Morgan Stanley’s net exposure to troubled Euro nations (Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain) was $2.4 billion. It’s exposure before hedges was $4 billion.

He was just another socialist just like obama with spread the wealth mentality as a solution for Greece and other Euro countries fiscal irresponsibility claiming that the solution is to move money from the pockets of rich Germans to poorer Europeans.

So..... as "Austin Powers" says....paraphrased....

1) Lack of a functioning solid economy means no ability to service the debt.

2) Unless Germany "eats it" (the debt...by austerity) for all of Europe.....kiss the EU BUH BYE.

3) Portugal and Spain will be next to fall.

4) Socialist policy will make it MUCH worse.
Deficit spending (money they don't have) will create the domino effect.

Yep.
Good for USA dollar in the short term....and long term if Romney wins in November.
People will look for a "safe" place to put their money and US markets will become more appealing when Obama is gone.

Meanwhile...for the next 6 months......

this shows the power of entitlement

this also shows what happens to socialism when you run out of someone else's money

not exactly. It could have worked if the big banks hadn't set up direvitive deals to purposely send these countrys into debt so to take them over. And guess what. The debt is owed to the big banks or one big bank. So take a wild guess who set up the deals to put these countrys into debt..

Actually it isn't really about the greed or the banksters stealing all the money. Its about putting countrys into debt with very bad deals that the banksters bought off politicans set up. Which purposely put alot of countrys into debt and eventually total slavery to the banksters
