Her death really hurts me because she was my father-in-law's favorite and he just died a few months ago. We used to play Donna's LP's on his old record player when I was first getting to know my husband about 10 yrs ago in their country in Latin America and I was like "you have the coolest old man ever!". I mean, the guy was an old conservative but he just loved Donna Summer. RIP.
Btw, I always think of "she works hard for the money" but I grew up in the 80s.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8806956 same here, I grew up in the 80's and remember she works hard for her money too, but my Mom LOVED disco she she had all the 8 tracks lol, blast Donna Summers on a Saturday morning while cleaning the house, this one old neighbor would call the cops but they didn't care, this is Chicago, once the cop danced lol. soo many memories with Donna Summers, its really sad.
