"Oh, and by the way, you really don't want to get me started on the real origins of English. Its basis IS latin, and it's bastardized latin FOR A REASON. A reason bred in perfidy and sowed in iniquity."Wow! I am interested in this REASON. . . .please explain . . . if you will . . .I would love to hear your theories. . . .
Quoting: George B It's not a theory, it's documented. I don't know if it's documented online, because I researched these things well prior to the internet, but the reason is actually very simple.
Priests spoke Latin, and Priests created the English language. It's a 'common tongue' so that the average person could not learn the scriptures.
They needed a language that they could understand, but so that the understanding was unilateral (in other words, so that the common man could not use it to reverse and decypher Latin).
Ask yourself who keeps Latin alive, and why?
Medical field and priests... why? What is their intent behind keeping this language alive? Why is it only ever taught in universities?
It is a language for the so-called 'elite'. It's still kept alive, used for mystical words for plants, animals, and pharmaceutical inventions. It's also used for mystical rituals in churches.
What is the tie between the medical and the established religions?
Who slaughtered herbalists by the hundreds? Who killed the sacred knowledge of plant lore and healing? It wasn't the medical field, and yet, who did most people go to for 'healing' when their home remedies failed? Priests.
The medical field is strongly entwined with priesthood. Why the white ritual gowns?
Did you know that white was considered to be the color you draped the dead and dying in?
English was created by priests. People were literally beaten and then killed if they did not conform to the new language. Ostensibly, this was for unity. So that all people understood each other and especially the priests.
But... people didn't really understand the priests, because english was not THEIR language.
Consider why it is that the 'scriptures' were kept secret for so long. What could the purpose have been for that? Why was it written in a language the common man didn't speak, and why was it kept away from them?
Of course, we know why. Because it is contradictory and the teachings could more easily be shifted according to their political needs.
English is a political language. So, in its own way, is Latin.
