Re: Cast Your Vote Today USATODAY.COM - 2nd Amendment Guarantee Right To Bear Arms?
It's pretty straight forward, I don't know why people are confused. Thomas Jefferson went as far as to say that the reason we need the right to bear arms is to defend ourselves against a government that has grown too powerful. He also believed that revolution was inevitable every twenty years or so. We are a couple of hundred years behind schedule, but we will catch up.

Thanks! Fact is...there is actually a 1% undecided. I'm sure the number of people who truly do not know what the 2nd amendment says or why it was put in place is actually much higher than 1% of the country. That's the sad part and as Berry Soetoro gets rid of the consitution piece by piece, more liberals and other assorted idiots will follow Holder in his statement that no American has the right to bear arms.

Actually 'moran' is correct. It' GLP specific :) Kind of like a term of endearment to tell someone their acting dumb. However...his calling me that was definitely a noob move becuse I already knew the poll was older...the point was...ten million people voted, and continue to vote, in favor of the 2nd amendment and the right to bear arms! That is just awesome.

They have been trying to take them away for years. It would make martial law an easy take over along with the New World Order.

I don't like guns but when Japan tried to invade us they were outnumbered 6 to 1. What if the Russians decided to invade?

Plus, Hitler is the perfect example of why you SHOULD demand rights to have guns. For those who don't know, he simply asked people to turn them over and said it was for a good cause. So people did and Hitler easily took over because his army was the only one with guns. We HAVE to learn from history!

In no particular order, early American settlers viewed the right to arms and/or the right to bear arms and/or state militias as important for one or more of these purposes:

deterring tyrannical government;
repelling invasion;
suppressing insurrection;
facilitating a natural right of self-defense;
participating in law enforcement;
enabling the people to organize a militia system.

Re: Cast Your Vote Today USATODAY.COM - 2nd Amendment Guarantee Right To Bear Arms?
Actually, the poll answer should be NO! The poll question asks, "Does the Second Amendment GIVE individuals the right to bear arms?" The answer is NO! The Constitution DOES NOT give us the right to protect ourselves (bear arms). That inalienable right is given to us by God Himself. Consequently, the Constitution merely recognizes this right. It does not GUARANTEE it. God does!

Thank God someone else noticed that. The Bill of Rights was demanded by the States and the people before agreement to adopt the Constitution for the United States. They list protections of not a granting of rights.

Rights do not come from government, only God. When a government tells you they are the ones giving the "right" what they are really doing is placing themselves in the place of God and merely allowing an activity they might deny tomorrow.

Today, when a concerted effort is made to obliterate this point, it cannot be repeated too often that the Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals—that it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government—that it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizens’ protection against the government.

Don't forget folks the second amendment makes no distinction
between different types of weapons.
So it is a right to bear any arms you want howitzers, machine guns, nukes and all.
We the people are supposed to have access to all arms.

If you voted "Yes", you're clearly a fucking idiot and have no idea that the government (Constitution) is not and should not be what gives us our rights. The rights are inalienable from the Creator.

So if you feel you have this right to own guns, you should vote "No". As I did.

I'm sorry, but you're completely stupid and ignorant.

The second amendment does NOT guarantee NOR does it GIVE anyone the right to bear arms.

The right to bear arms is an inalienable right, that exists prior to any manmade laws and is bestowed upon the people by God, or the creator, or whatever you want to call it. It CANNOT be given to human beings by other human beings, because it is already exists before any human actions.

The bill of rights simply enumerates our rights, it does not guarantee them, nor does it give them.

Our right CANNOT BE TAKEN AWAY. Do you get it now?

Anyone that votes yes on that poll has been completely brainwashed and deluded by the elites that want to enslave the planet. They WANT you to believe the Constitution and the government gives you your rights. That way, they can take them away.

That is EXACTLY correct! Most people don't understand that the federal government is meant to have very limited power. That absolutely was the intent of the founding fathers.
