Teacher screams at student that it's ILLEGAL to criticize obama!!!

You should respect the presidency. It makes your country look weak if you do not. You can criticise it, but you should not sound like an enemy and make up crazy propaganda.

The question the child asked is not crazy propaganda.
The incident he was asking the question about IS in the book Dreams From My Father by Barack Obama.

The teacher yells -- literally yells -- that Obama is “due the respect that every other president is due … Listen,” she continues, “let me tell you something, you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom.” She yells over the student repeatedly, and yells at him that it's disrespect for him to even debate about Romney and Obama.

The student says that he can say what he wants.
“Not about him, you won’t,” says the teacher.
The teacher then tells the student – wrongly – that it is a criminal offense to say bad things about a president. “Do you realize that people were arrested for saying things bad about Bush? Do you realize you are not supposed to slander the president?”

The student says that it would violate First Amendment rights to jail someone for such sentiments. “You would have to say some pretty f’d up crap about him to be arrested,” says the student. “They cannot take away your right to have your opinion … They can’t take that away unless you threaten the president.”


Garbage like this from this teacher goes on everyday in classrooms all over the country.

Maybe she should make it class reading material so they can all understand the context of the story and learn from it instead of it coming out as a Republican talking point.

They were both wrong. The Teacher should not allow her personal beliefs to interfere while teaching students. The boy was obviously trying to instigate a fight. Both were in the wrong.

Her classroom. Her rules.

What are they going to learn? That Barry spent half his high school years stoned and went on to use cocaine, that he bullied a girl, that he hung around with socialists and Marxists, that he ate a dog, that he hated white people? That in all likelihood, someone else wrote the book.

That book isn't really reading material for children to read.

I think they need to add on a negative section to the IQ scale for people like this. Calling her brain-dead would be the understatement of the year...

It's hard to hear what's going on in the class but I can hear the boy baiting the teacher with bringing up the story about Romney being a bully so he can point out that Obama was one too. He intentionally picked that fight. The teacher was wrong for continuing it since she apparently knew nothing about the incident in which a ten year old Obama (not a high school student) shoved a girl during recess and recalled how he regretted his actions and learned a childhood lesson about bullying.

They would learn the rest of the story. I'm sure brietbart.com included the rest of the story about how Obama as a young child regretted his actions and learned that bullying people was wrong. Here's the paragraph but I'm sure you already saw it on one of those Conservative blog sites:
