Anonymous Coward User ID: 16414751 United States 05/20/2012 10:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's a couple of quickies: Saute boneless skinless chicken breasts in a skillet with butter. When the chicken is done, rinse the skillet with hot water and use that water to cook the noodles. Chop the chicken & sprinkle on top of the cooked noodles. Freeze single servings of spaghetti sauce in zip-lock sandwich bags. Peel the bag off, heat the sauce & pour over a plate of ramen noodles. I usually top mine with shredded cheese and sliced black olives. When the supermarket has split chicken breasts on sale, buy two or three packs. Use a filet knife to cut the breast off the bone (there are YouTube videos showing how to fillet a chicken breast) Cut into strips and freeze in small single serving bags. Throw the bones, skin and all the scraps into a pressure cooker with a little water & cook until well done. The pressure cooker makes the bones soft so they'll crumble. Strain the broth and pick out all the good pieces of meat & use to make dumplings or chow mein. I always chop up the rest, bones & all & give it to my dogs. They love it! BE SURE TO PRESSURE COOK THE BONES UNTIL THEY'RE SOFT AND CHOP THEM UP THOROUGHLY. For dumplings, get cheap canned biscuits. Tear the biscuits into quarters and drop them into boiling broth. Boil uncovered for 10 minutes, then cover, lower heat and simmer for another 10 minutes. |

CrunchySalad User ID: 10818655 Vanuatu 05/20/2012 10:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't cook the noodles and throw away the seasoning packet. Shred a cabbage and some carrots. Add chopped green onions. Any nuts around? sunflower or almonds are good. Break up raw crunchy ramen noodles. Mix it all up. Add a dressing made of olive oil, vinegar, black pepper, tsp sugar, and soy sauce to taste. It's really good! But you have to eat it right away, before noodles turn soggy. If you take it to a friends place, just add the raw noodles before eating. |

Put the broth in a bowl, cover with Saran Wrap & refrigerate overnight. The fat will rise to the top and harden. You can skim it off with a fork. When you cook several at a time skin and all you'll end up with about a cup of chicken fat. (not good for people or dogs) |

Bring to a boil then simmer 4 minutes. Enjoy your veggie noodle broth. :) My last favorite thing to do with Ramen Noodles is to cook according to the directions and then let them sit at room temperature until they congeal. Just for fun. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16388301 Make sure to drop an egg or two in while boiling the noodles to cook the egg! Amazing! Tapatio..hot sauce??? You can add: small chopped and frozen tofu cubes, corn, peas, carrot slices, spinach, broccoli, cubes of ham, meat or pieces of chicken if you're a carnivore. You can also add sliced mushroom or slices of green onion. I like to serve my ramen soups like a pho soup -- top it with basil, cilantro and chopped fresh romaine lettuce, tomatoes, bean sprouts (if you have them) -- fresh stuff. Then, I also serve it with sriracha sauce and hoisin sauce. Well, its a quick meal and you can save lots of money by throwing your leftover scraps into soups. good luck. |

I don't eat llke this now days. Take a package of ramen noodles, beef flavor. Cook noodles in plain water until al dente, drain completely. Heat up a can of wolf brand chili. Add drained noodles. Toss in the beef flavor pack too so not to waste it. Stir. Eat while still hot piled up on crackers. Yum! |

Snickrot User ID: 9344677 United States 05/21/2012 12:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mmmmm... I loves me some ramen. One recipe that i like is first you hard-boil an egg and get 2 ramen packets ready. While the raman water is warming to a boil, you add some garlic and the spices. The spices i like to add are curry powder, dill, chilli powder (chipotle is nice), with a little oregano plus the raman seasoning packet (i usually only use 1 of the 2 packets). Once the water is boiling, you add the noodles. You then cut the egg into strips and add it to the soup. The yolk dissolves and adds to the broth. Spinach and green onions are then added. Then mushrooms last. Let it cook for 3 min and then turn off heat and let it sit for 5. You can then serve a bowl of it up. I like to add frozen peas to it to cool it off some (it doesn't water the soup down and adds some more nutrients to it). There you go, i hope you enjoy! The economy is doing great. More green shoots each day. Consumer confidence is great. Unemployment is dropping. Stocks are soaring. Europe is saved. I like flouride. Chemtrails are pretty.
